Glad you followed this up about minor leaks, very informative 😀

I'd never heard of these so thanks for the info. Following your vlog on how much gas you have, I purchased a gauge and found after a couple of trips that my wife's very sensitive nose told us we had a leak. Using soapy water it was traced to the rear of the gauge, so informed the vendor and a replacement arrived. This also leaked but fortunately it was from the union and my 'gas safe' plumber friend rectified the problem. The gauge is an excellent way of monitoring the pressure in the system and easily highlights any unexpected gas escape.

Great video and an excellent way to show how useful the gas stop can be, even on a small leak.

Brilliant explanation Dan, very impressed. I'm making a video on just this subject too, small leak detection. Except I'm using a gas analyser to record the pressure drop. The Gas Stop is extremely sensitive, what your video doesn't show is the "closed system" isn't empty of gas via the pin prick. The black needle drops from Green to Red (zero) with as little as a 2mbar drop in pressure. So from 37mbar standing pressure to 35mbar at zero pressure. A very good, accurate and sensitive method of small leak detection.

I will definitely fit one if these, great safety device. I would love to see you do a video on refillable LPG installations vs exchangeable bottles.

Just a suggestion Dan but I'm sure like many once noticing a minor leak one would be using their nose especially with Propane and someone like myself personally would do would be to get some soapy water and brush onto to a area you feel you can smell gas. Generally minor leaks will be around the rubber gas hose or a fitting so you could apply the soapy water to those fittings to. This was something we would do in industry when changing over cylinders if you didn't have a manifold bank of cylinders. Brill vlog as always

Can the Gas Stop valve be connected to a hose that has no regulator? I see you've used hoses with a regulator every time for this test. The Coleman hose don't have a regulator so I was wondering if the Gas Stop valve could be used with it.

Hi Dan, is the Gas Stop the same as the Gasfuse? Have been told it is but would like your opinion please. Thanks

Every time I change the gas bottle I use some soapy water on the joint between bottle and pipe. If you have a leak clean joint or use gas tape .

How on earth can it measure the level of a *liquid* gas bottle. the preasure does not drop until the tank is empty.

The test was flawed, you did not demonstrate there was not a gas leak, before you made the pin hole.

For the numb skulls more liable to do something extraordinarily stupid such as running over your gas line with a lawn mower or worse watch the video about 12 times until it sinks in.. Somehow i have a felling 12 times will never be enough..
