Irish People Try Buzzballz Cocktails

A few years ago my friend's wife was into drinking buzz balls. She saved all her empties and put them on strands of clear Christmas lights and hung them around their patio/deck area. It looked better than it sounds.

I collected each different kind that I tried, but I also had a friend who turned them into bulbs for strand lights, and she did a great job as they looked amazing!

When these were first released I loved them. The idea, the look, the labels, the names, and the flavors. They are good on their own but make great mixers. Panera Bread has an "energy drink" lemonade that is Yuzu and Mango flavored. The spicy mango buzz ball would be awesome to mix into it so you would get the mango, the alcohol, the spice, and the caffeine.

Fun fact: The Espresso Martini buzzballs actually have caffeine. 4 Loko was banned from doing this, but somehow BB gets away with it now and i'm happy about that! I love the Choc Tease & I usually mix it with the Espresso Martini on the rocks for an energetic night.

There's even one for Seattle's (where I live) new hockey team, called the Kraken Drop. They've got a lemon flavored one, which is alright, but the real winner is their raspberry flavored one. From California here! Southern Californians drink buzzed balls mostly for fast fuck up! usually for concerts, late night beach, or out at night hanging with friends out on the street. very cheap and gets the job done fast.. but beware of the sweetness.. which can cause bad hangovers!

The creamy chocolate one was my favorite for a long time until I was living in a primarily-Hispanic neighborhood. The corner store there had the horchata one, and that became my new favorite. In general, the creamy ones tasted better to me than the fruity ones.

Is that a European thing? Because over here, "natural flavors" means flavors which are derived from the actual thing they're supposed to taste like (i.e. things like vanilla extract), and anything synthetically created must be labeled "artificial flavors".

@@ballyastrocade5672 It's in quite a few countries. They have found a way to replicate flavours in a lab which have the same chemical makeup as real flavours, so cause no weird side effects, but to me they just taste flat and no match for the real thing, but they are allowed to call them natural!
