I dyed my daughters hair when she was 6 because she wanted blue hair. Children want to create their own style like adults it’s just up to the parents to ensure that they don’t look grown lol.

I legitimately did the exact same thing as Evelyn when going natural. I just stopped getting relaxers, my hair broke off and been natural for about a week and a half. I've been wanting to go natural for a few months but had no idea what to buy and couldnt really afford the products.

kiki pop Use manic panic it's a vegan dye. Just don't bleach your hair and you'll be ok. It'll be a very dark purple though, I hope I helped :)

I was getting relaxers at 5. I begged because all of my friends had straight hair and I wanted to fit in. Been #natural for 4 years now! My hair would break off at the touch because it was so bad from the relaxers. So glad I'm not doing the creamy crack anymore!

I find it incredibly disturbing that parents would relax and dye their childrens' hair at such young ages. If not teaching them to hate their own hair, it's EXTREMELY bad for their healthy!!!

Selena Lamothe since I was mixed I really wanted straight hair as a child, so I begged and pleaded my mom to give me relaxer so I could feel more related to her. In the end, I got my first relaxer when I was 6 years old, but now that I'm 17, my hair is growing curly and healthy! I've come far in self confidence and acceptance of my ethnic since I was a child.
