If you want to virtually stand straight up with the bar against your shins and can reach the bar, great, but I want to strengthen my legs and not moving them does not do that. So I have the bar out from my shins so my ass is down to 10 deg above parallel and that is where the bar goes against my shin. The bar goes where is put my ass and my shins end up, not the other way around. Toes slightly out is for lateral stability, maybe is one leg is stronger than the other is how it came about.

@@thebiggerbodycoach6557 You don't need a trap bar. Just try to have good form (you can also read Mark Rippetoe's book on barbell training) and don't increase the weights too fast. Besides: You can also hurt yourself with a trap bar (normal barbell does not allow you to hyperextend your back, but you can easily hyperextend and injure your back with a trap bar.. the top position is extremely unstable when using heavy weights)

Best speech giver in strongman! In Eddie's later years he should definitely become a host at the strongman competitions.

Try to flex ur core more it helped a lot and use a belt as well those things really help. Good luck 💪💪

Thanks Eddie! I maxed out at 300 and I did 115 for light practice, it felt like 185 and then I watched this video and it felt like nothing!

I never even dead-lifted before nor have I even been to a gym but that seems like a perfect explanation on how to dead-lift.

Thank you so much for sharing this video and your knowledge. I didn't realize how far off my form was until I filmed myself from the side. I'm basically doing the entire lift incorrectly- turning it into a stiff legged deadlift with the bar starting well off of my body. I am excited to try out these key points in my next session. Thank you again!!

Best bit was "you can sit down now." When The Beast tells people to do stuff they just do it without question, that right there is the respect this man deserves 😂
