I love how it transitions from 2B and Eve fighting to 9S and Adam in this video. It would have been just as awesome in game because on my first playthrough I wanted to see what was going on with 9S too. Little did I know that was the second playthrough xD

it was kindof ironic (but not totally unexpected) with me that, despite 2B clearly being the better fighter, the 9S run was when Adam really got his shit kicked in in record time compared to 2B fighting Eve. Always a really fun fight against those two.

The first fight is scripted. You don't need to attack at all. I noticed that, when I killed Eve. He just respawned, as long Adam was talking.

probably because of how the network has been more and more copying the history of mankind with each new iteration, and the Grimoire were one of mankind's final accomplishments/attempts at saving themselves. . Either that or they evolved by copying android battle data, as the androids can use attacks modeled after the sealed verses.

Nakumare It probably goes back even further than that. Eve's tattoo after growing turns into the Cult of the Watchers symbol. The Watcher "the Queenbeast" or "the Giant" is the cause of WCS, and is highly implied to be Zero from D3. It's possible the aliens had some connection to the Grotesqueries/Watcher race, which both appear to come from space, and the Watchers in particular have reality-warping powers that rely on the soul's memory of multiple universes (as seen in NieR 1 and Drakengard, where magic and Song use the Angelic script). It's also worth noting that the room in the Tower where 9S fights the 2B models is directly modelled after the hall where Zero fought One and Gabriel, despite those events not existing in this universe. It's something that, like A2's magical cure of 9S in Ending D and Accord's existence, will probably come together in future material.

Already know about the Cult of the Watchers, but thanks. It's usually called Grotesquerie Queen I believe, the name of 'The Giant.' The room looking like One's chamber is a bit weird though, seeing as none of the endings of 3 are canon according to Taro, only bits and pieces of them...though, One's brother making the Cult of the Watchers is one of those pieces, so maybe that's why (besides, references can come from anywhere, seeing as Accord is brought up as the reason why all these weapons converge in both universes at random) Also worth noting is that when Eve went rogue and the tattoo began growing, there appeared to be something not unlike the White Chlorination's Salt Rain falling from the sky in the city. . Personally, I assumed it might have something to do with the Queen's remains being shot far into space by the nuke fire, thus infecting the alien race in due time and being the 'god' that they refer to when they say they've come to purge humanity. Would also explain the machines using what looks to be the blood magic orbs (though that could easily just be Taro and Platinum wanting to keep that a thing). I assumed it was either that or the White Chlorination spores never left the air, and since the Aliens were organic and sapient, they could be infected, but the fact none of the Replicants became infected seems to argue against that idea for the most part.
