In this video I talk about the false notion of MANHOOD and why it keeps people from training properly. I also talk about the idea that being "chiseled" means you can fight.

Hand conditioning has been weeded out of most fight school in the fear it will scare away clients.

You can kinda blame Hollywood and comic books for making people think a bodybuilder physique is the most optimal for fighting. But to those people, I tell them to look up Fedor, Cain, DC, James Toney and Mark Hunt.

Another misconception that people have about fat guys is that they are slow. Some guys are faster on their feet than they look.

This guy is great. I trained in combatives with an Albanian who was a successful wrestler and worked as a doorman In Albania. His training was about life and death. It I corporated all elements of all styles but accounted for street stuff like ball grabbing and biting ect. I learned more from him in an hour than I had in years of boxing and mui Thai. This guy's is so good. If I was in the states and anywhere near his area this is the guy I'd want to train with. No nonsense and intelligent.

At the end of the day you have to do what ever works to survive. I was losing a fight very bad felt like I was losing my life so I grabbed the dudes nuts and squeezed and he screamed Callapsed to the ground then I finished him with punches . Thank you for the informative video, Sayf. I wanted to know if you saw the fight between Ahmed Elbiali and Jean Pascal. If so, do you think that Pascal's ability to land the looping right hand pretty much at will was the clear evidence that Elbiali was not ready for the elite level fights or was there something more subtle Pascal was doing to make it possible that Elbiali could not see when it was coming and time it. I saw it as the ultimate veteran outsmarting the younger fighter who was not aware of traps being set. To put it simply, it went like this: Ahmed Elbiali: "Sifu Pascal, permission to pass on to elite level in light heavyweight division?" Jean Pascal: "Permission denied." TKO in 6th round.

Thanks Sayf some more great points! Some of the worst hell I've had in fights has been with fat guys. Linemen in football be they Guards or tackles are all fat guys upwards of 300lbs for sheer strength. I just have a question... I hate doing weights but love calisthenics. Can I gain bulk with calisthenics and upping my calorie intake? Sorry if that's a silly question but I don't know anything about this.

About hand conditioning...my dad knew a Japanese guy (while stationed in Japan) who built his house without the use of a hammer. Where nails had to be driven,, this guy either drove them with his fist or, occasionally, slapped them into place with his palms...

Where would you advise that I look for hand/ knuckle conditioning techniques? Anything to strengthen my hands... the last thing I want as a liability, since I plan on pursuing boxing for as long as I can fight.
@TheUmmahFightCamp

Sean Donnelly: A few easy ways: 1) get a pair of grips: Use them as often as possible. Maybe as you are watching TV. Use them simultaneously 10 times a set. Start with 3 sets a day. Builds strength in fingers. 2) Aim better. This "small" issue is a big reason for boxing hand injuries. Punching with not enough deliberation. 3) Get a piece of 2*4 and hit it with medium power using your first 2 knuckles. You only do it maybe 10 times with each hand while holding it in the palm of the other hand. Start with about 3 sets with each hand. Creates Bone density.

Perhaps if you told them that you were teaching them ancient Tiger Style Technique they would be more receptive. I was relieved when you said you raked his chest as I assumed you were talking about raking his face..... I sure wouldn't like that. That would really hurt and suck. @TheUmmahFightCamp
@TheUmmahFightCamp 6 жыл бұрын
ComplexBlackness: I do not have it on hand since I was both told it BY someone who knows and read it. Look for yourself. You see inmates bulking MORE than cutting. There is a reason for that.
@complexblackness
@complexblackness 6 жыл бұрын
TonyMon16 I see you been watching Prison talk. All hispanic inmates are not fit, where did you get that from? There are plenty of hispanic inmates who aren't in shape. The thing hispanic inmates have especially the Southern Mexicans in Cali is numbers and organization. Other than that they aren't much to talk about. I also see you've watched that one episode of Lock up on MSNBC years ago or on youtube. As far as cutting, of course you aren't going to cut weight in Prison. You're either going to work out or you're not. You either have abs or you don't. Most dudes who are cut aren't thinking along gay lines or worried about gay stuff. So I call BS on that one. Some inmates have physiques due to natural genetics and others don't. If an inmate has abs it most likely has nothing to do with anything gay.

The major issue here is the idea that all black guys with abs are gay. No one said that. If people want to get ripped and make videos on how to do it, fine! We are talking about PRISON! In an environment where you can get stabbed for looking at someone wrong, Bulk in fat, and cloth is a strategy.

Christopher Duffy: I understand that you are trying to be humorous, but in jail or NOT, self defense should come before aesthetics.
@christopherduffy1703
@christopherduffy1703 6 жыл бұрын
TheUmmahFightCamp Yes! I understand that. Now in regular society do you think it would be necessary to maintain blubber around your gut for protection against a shank attack? I absolutely agree that there always should be defense in consideration.
@TheUmmahFightCamp
@TheUmmahFightCamp 6 жыл бұрын
Christopher Duffy: I did NOT say it was better to be obese. Let's be clear, much of the abs you see are a result of losing weight around the stomach. Even for the look one presents to would be predators, bulk is best. Now, this an issue I have with many people: Who is in better shape, a man who smokes a pack a day and is ripped or a man who the doctor says is 10 pounds over weight, but runs 3 miles a day 4 days a week?
@christopherduffy1703
@christopherduffy1703 6 жыл бұрын
TheUmmahFightCamp Yea! I see brother. There are a lot of variables that come into play when dealing with this conversation. The main thing I can say is that that some environments require more emphasis on self defense than others but everyone should always be alert
@TheUmmahFightCamp
@TheUmmahFightCamp 6 жыл бұрын
Chistopher Duffy: True some environments "require" more emphasis on self defense than others. My point is that I can freely move from place to place not because I smile a lot or am happy as a black man that racists "let" me live. I go to visit family in California every year. I eat in Marina Del Ray, I walk and jog in Redondo beach. Great! I am equally able to beat the crap out of people in all locations! It is life as life is. And I have had more beautiful ladies than most before settling down. No excuse for not being prepared and being "aware" is not enough.

Brian Keane: Are you trying to be slick or do you have a question? If you are asking because you are white, my answer is this: I have white subscribers and they have gotten much info from me cause most of their own does not have it. I do not mind. Some have been great support. Now, if you are a racist and are willing to admit it, f#%k no, you are not welcomed. I am a black man in my 50s who never needed integration, but since we have it in some places, I have met some good white people, some I would call friends. Now what is your REAL question?

in a 1v1 fight i cant think of anything that will inflict more pain that cant be COUNTERED ( eye gouges, rakes, groin attacks can all be done back to you if you do nothing else, and may not necessarily discourage the opponent if he a psycho), than bjj. being stuck in somes one ram bar, triangle choke etc... nothing i scarier imo. There is nothing else to make grown ass men who not one minute ago where acting like pshcyo who was gonna rip your head of to scream I CANT BREATHE PLEASE STOP!!! or MY ARM PLEASE STOP!!! i would suggest the rakes, eye gouges ear pulls etc as means to grab and throw them to ground to do a submission. BUT dont do this to a gypsy fighter or a real bad ass street fighter/gang banger. they are better than you at dirty fighting, and you will just piss them off and get your own face bitten off. they quiet litearly train to bite peoples face off. DONT DO IT. Instead avoid them at all costs and if you do have to fight one , aks for a " clean" fight. they will get what you saying and then ONLY use punches.
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN "FIGHTING"!!!!!
