My experience with Dan Henry: I bought a 1972 Maverick Chorno, the display was not in line so I ask for refund. It turned instantly into a very unfriendly conversation that a display cannot be not in line and that I have to sent the watch back under almost unfullfillable conditions. However, I sent it back but never got my money back.

Very fair and extensive review, TGV. I really think that Dan went all out on this to make the watch exist in the exact right space. It is not supposed to be a ultra diver or any other type of piece other than the most simple and suitable piece for most users. It will suit any wrist other than the largest among us and will perform in nearly situation that most of us would throw at it. I can only imagine that Dan, as he has recently been working on and sailing his classic sailing boats, wanted a different piece to wear than his 1972, which is his personal favorite. I am sure that the new piece would be far more suitable on a boat that the 1972 is. I really like the new piece. I love the ability to get another Dan Henry in an auto version. They are rare and usually go quite quickly. I just have to figure out which version(s) I want! Thank you, as always, for such excellent work, TGV. Onward and upwards, my friend. Be well.

Great point about the 1975 being another auto option, I often forget most of his watches are quartz! Safe flying fratello, O&U! Best regards, TGV

Loved this video, and this new dan henry watches. Will buy for christmas. And I also give you value for being the first person I saw here on KZbin about watches, not quite sure how I started this, but once I started watching your videos, I became obsessed with watches. You have and always will have an immense value as a watch content youtuber, every video almost looks like a documentary. I understand your furstration towards some youtubers, although I don't know why this friction started between watch content youtubers. I believe there's space for everyone here, and many youtubers have their own identity and distiction, so there's value, even if some are also watch dealers and try to sell some brands along the way. So if there's something I would say I don't like here in some of your videos, is when you put some of your frustrations for other youtubers in the mix. Nevertheless, this channel still is the standard for me, even though I grew the "subscriton collection", because I believe was the pioneer and because of the quality of your work, knowledge, learning, the history and research involved, the documentary - like videos and artistic view about the watches themselves discussed here, which are not always from the famous and traditional brands, most discussed, but also micro brands and brands with value besides price, which is the case of this Dan Henry brand, which, I confess, grew on me because of you. Could not thank you enough for all the love I have for watches now, and I hope you continue here for many many years to come doing a wonderful job for this community. Wish you the best.

Good morning TGV, thank you, I was waiting for this review :-) I like the 1975 Skin Diver by Dan Henry, this seems to be a great watch with high fun factor, moreover very wearable. Especially the Meca-Quartz variant seems to be a great option for me and the idea to take a Meca-Quartz movement for a three hand diver watch here is kind of ingenious. I too have to say, Dan Henry watches have to be experienced on the wrist. I treated myself to the 1964 Gran Turismo and must say, I am very excited! A watch that is wearable in everyday life with a classy, stylish look and a high fun factor. Classic design, with a robust and durable movement, so you don't have to worry about service costs or availability of spare parts. I also think a Meca-Quartz movement often makes more sense in this price range, such as a Chinese hand-wound chrono movement, for which the service costs will probably easily reach or even exceed the new price of a new watch. Many greetings!

I bought the Dan Henry 1945 Chronograph. I was initially thrilled with it, it looks fantastic. But, I quickly realized that the watch face was so busy (and I like busy watch faces) that the chrono sub dials erased many of the main minute markers. That loss of functionality detracts from the main purpose of any watch, to tell time, and if you need to set the minute hand near where the left and right sub dials overlap the minute track, then good luck with that.

The Dan Henry watch line has some incredibly tempting designs. Elegance with a classic look. I just wish these watches were available built to a higher standard. With better lume, better paint on the dials, polished rare metals for the hands, and similar high end touches the watches would be spectacular. Sure, the price would be $1000-2000 dollars but the end result would be worth the premium. Right now the watches are very handsome but feel a little cheap. No insult to Dan Henry because the watches are a good value for the price. Maybe Dan Henry could come up with a few higher end special releases to enhance the brand.

Great observation, I have to admit, I have never used a lume pip, but I totally see what you mean. Thank you, Best regards, TGV

Thanks for the review TGV, was waiting to see something before I pulled the trigger. Was set on the GILT Bezel until you pointed out at angles the numbers disappear

Great presentation, thanks. Interestingly, my wife also went for the white dual 37mm model. Even arrived on the 7th.

Hi TGV, wanted to ask how come when you use digital calipers you measure the lug width with the outside measuring prongs instead of the inside diameter ones?

Undeniably, DH offers an affordable impeccable watch collection at a accessible price.

Countless people have been calling for a 39mm Pelagos and another Ranger. An new North Flag is yet another. That Tudor introducing the 39mm Pelagos, that was a no brainer after the success of the BB58, my thought was- what took them so long?

Not convinced these watches are for me, but I greatly enjoyed the video TGV, some spot on thoughts and ruminations. Onwards and upwards!

The is the first Dan Henry that has my interest. I could live with a quartz 39 orange steel tropic on my wrist. Otherwise I look forward to the possibility of a no bezel tool watch, or even his interpretation of a Tag Monaco.

Watching this again now while considering getting one, and I wish you spent more time on the quality of the bracelet like you usually do.
