agreed the step up is too big to 120mm. Plus 3x will be digital zoom now. And I dont get the point of 24mp from a quad pixel 48mp lens. It seems 12mp is still the ideal size for that leans spec. Maybe they want people to comsume more icloud storage? Apple is clearly not upgrading the icloud storage tiers and instead adding more expensive plans on top of current plans.

I’ve waited since iPhone X and this is going to be a substantial jump for me going up to a 15 pro max. I’ll be super happy with all the improvements and honestly I’m looking forward most to the better camera in my pocket and the better experience I’ll have consuming media. On a year to year basis, there really isn’t much of an upgrade. But who in the general public has the money or need to be upgrading their phone every year nowadays?

I'm with you on a similar upgrade cycle. Since iPhone and smartphones, I've also been on the 4-5 year cycle. Went from iPhone 5, to iPhone 7, to another iPhone 7 replaced with insurance when that got stolen, to my current iPhone 13 Mini (RIP Mini :( ). I usually find the battery degradation and updates in features/design I want tend to coincide with that schedule. Even more so, as most decent smartphones do things we didn't even imagine a few years ago, and the development in must have features has slowed down. I appreciate that I have been able to rely on Apple for updates for several years, which...as tempting as other options are...we definitely haven't seen as consistent support for many of the Android offerings. Depending on my financial situation when the time comes (likely in a couple years), I may upgrade to the smaller Pro or whatever the equivalent is in a couple years time. I also will at least consider a look at the Android offerings then as well.

I have the 14 pro max and get around 150 calls a day at work, on top of checking emails, using google maps, taking pictures, and using the internet im always down to single digits by the time my workday ends. My battery capacity is at 91% and its current at a 4% charge at the moment. I’m Picking up my 15 Pro Max on Friday, I’m disappointed with the battery but also understand I’m also a really heavy user.

It’s not the easiest thing to write a script to do, but you can have menus within shortcuts, so you could have a shortcut that invokes multiple shortcuts from a menu (presumably; I don’t have the new phone in question).

I think it's an often missed feature on Samsung's too. My S23U let's me add great portrait effects to images with people in them even I didn't chose it when taking, and regardless of the device it cam from-the algo is really good.

Is there any improvement to the antenna on the 15 Pro Max vs the 14 Pro Max? Would the X70 Modem increase 5g signal strength and stability? My iPhone 14 ProMax has been my worst iPhone ever for signal strength. This has been complained about by multiple other people on the Apple Forums and an Apple Care Representative also admitted that they’re receiving numerous complaints about signal strength and reliability on the 14 Pro Max.

for me i have the iphone 12 pro max pacific blue color. or i can wait for the iphone 16 pro max or the iphone 17 pro series. coming in 1 to 3 years and maybe a full screen/ display. and also thin bezels for the iphone series. is it worth it to upgrade to the iphone 15 series with usb-c ports cable. or also a good gaming phone for a decent price.

Need a more in-depth graphical performance analysis. Being able to run Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake is super impressive to me. What’s the frame rate? i’ve been using top iPhone models since 2018. Before that, Android since 2012. On my current 14 pro max, the only thing I wish Apple would’ve done by now (since it is a current feature on the Ipad) is multi-tasking. Beyond that, android does really fall short.

@@karandevilocs Please get your facts right. Thunderbolt “3” is up to 40gbps. Thunderbolt starts from 10gbps which is USB 3.0. Basically, any thunderbolt cable will give you the maximum speed needed for filming to an SSD.

Hi Allison, Could you please make a video going into the details of the wireless charging efficiency in the different Apple products and different wireless charging options?. My feeling is wireless charging in general is only about 50% efficient, meaning for each 10W the charger takes out of the power outlet, only 5W finally reach the device battery... which I think is radically less than wired charging.... If you find out this to be true in your research, it could mean that every body who switches to wireless charging will be roughly doubling the electrical power used to charge its phone.... Which can be a huge impact if you multiply by the millions of mobile phone owners worldwide…. Environmental implications might be really high..

I feel the 5x lens has been thrown in the pro Max just for the bragging rights. It was obvious from the start that it would require immense amount of light to provide just ok image quality. IMO they sould have sticked with a 3x zoom with a better /bigger sensor. anyway I thing it's definatly a skippable year, unless you really want to use the usb-c feature a lot while filming of course.

Tbh, the biggest change of being the usb c to the iPhone is the transfer speed. It’s because, often than not, when your phone is about to run out of battery, it’s the same case for your Mac as well as iPad. As a person that always carry a 2 port PD charger in my back pack, it really does makes that big of a difference…… except that I might need to throw a lightning cable without it reaching it’s life span and get a new one. Which is sort of wasting to me. Anyways, the usb c is a good change but really not that big of a deal, since devices need its cable anyway 😂😂😂

Well, if you currently have a lightning cable, you probably also have a device you use it for. So if that device is still in use, that cable will be too. If you are planning to replace that device, you can also send the cable with it to whoever will receive it, and it will be used then too. And so on until either one of them dies first. I don't see it as such a waste.
