Why are atheists so hostile? If there's no God, they can just dismiss us and go about their Godless lives.

Not only the Atheist hold such queries about the resurrection. The exaggeration of the event by some, are far too mystical to accept it as a reality. For example, do you literally believe the narration of an angel as tall as the sky actually appeared on earth during the resurrection? If you do, not God but I bless you. Are you aware that the writer of such myths has no knowledge of the cosmic? If you cannot deduce the mentality of the writer then I really bless you. I forgot, is the sacred words of God so therefore it has to be true.

He isn't. Your college professor brainwashed you to believe that by not giving you the full history behind certain events in the Bible. There are plenty of good answers to all of those accusations. But, you have to have a non-biased mind to accept them. Funny you call Him violent, though. He intervenes to stop evil child sacrifice and you say He is violent for it. Yet the same people ask "where was God when Hitler was committing Genocide". He intervenes to stop parents from burning their kids alive, He's a violent monster for wiping out the Canaanites. He doesn't intervene when YOU want Him to, He's once again a monster. Get a grip on your own side's contradicting viewpoints, man, before spewing your hatred out on other's. And just face it. You hate God. A God you don't think exists. Maybe you should question your own mental state instead of pointing the finger at God. Why do you care so much? I bet you don't care one bit about Allah and what he demands from his followers. Only the god of the Bible. Why so obssessed?

Because in their hearts they know He exists. And they try to find "moral" arguments to discredit the One who is going to ultimately judge them. They do not want God to exist. That would mean they are accountable. And that would mean, there is a being infinitely better and smarter than themselves. And since they all think they are their own god, it's inconceivable in their arrogant minds that anyone could be smarter and better than they are. They want no accountability, because they pleasure more than they love God. Basically they have no self discipline. They cannot resist any of the worlds pleasures to their flesh. And following Jesus requires discipline. It's not easy to die to the flesh now for gain later on. Atheist want instant gratification now, and convince themselves their is no afterlife where they must pay the piper. They are weak. It's so easy to follow the world and never get laughed at or ridiculed. We must endure that everyday. It's easy to satisfy your flesh now and put off payment til later. That's the easy road to take. Deny yourself nothing, and tell yourself there are no consequences and no one is there to hold you accountable. How do you think communist justify genocide? If God is not, all is permitted. It's not wrong (in their minds) to kill/murder those who remind them of the God who will hold them accountable. After all, for them, we are all just animals and nobody says it's wrong when a lion kills a gazelle. So they can satisfy their blood lusts and kill whomever is a reminder of such a God. All the while convincing everyone else, that it is the the guy they killed who is evil. Atheists can justify anything on the grounds that nothing matters at all. So they can do what they want, to whomever they want and they have convinced themselves there will be no accountability. They hate Christians because we are reminders of a God that will absolutely judge them when their time comes. And they HATE that reminder.

Can't believe the absolute hatred that non believers have for us and our God. You would expect more of an apathetic attitude, like they could care less. But, nope, they care. A lot! Do they spend this much time hating Muslims, witches, Buddhists? Wow. I guess it's to be expected. Jesus said, "the world hated Me first, they will hate you also" and "you will be hated of all nations for My name's sake". They can't say He was wrong about that.

Um either their bold or very dumb and I think in this case it would be the latter. But on Amore serious note, now that they have been told by many that there is a God yet still ignore the facts, I think in my Bible it says that they would be better off not to have been born. I'm questioning my faith. I'm a very new Christian, so new that I'm not even entirely sure if I can call myself a Christian. I don't go to Church and I've only recently started reading a Bible, specifically the Sunrise Good News Bible, which I hope is an accurate translation. I heard biblical stories in primary school and my school occasionally had church services but, being a kid, I think my mindset was to either dismiss them as "the adult stuff" or assume they were fictional stories. According to my mother, who's agnostic but leans towards Christianity, I straight up told my Reverend that her services were boring (I don't personally remember saying this but I trust my mother's testimony about it). I'm now 27 years old and I've been looking into the historical evidence for the Resurrection. It's all there and it all fits so I have no logical reason to deny it. My problem is that I'm terrified of committing to it. My little brother has even nicknamed me "Doubting Thomas".

@@veganian2019 Well for starters, I'm a sinner. Also, I disagree with some of God's decisions in the Bible (I haven't finished reading it but I can already see why people favour God in the New Testament more than God in the Old Testament), which makes me frightened of angering Him by questioning or even criticising His authority. Furthermore, the Bible is 2000 years old and has been retranslated many times, which means that there is a possibility that parts of it may have been changed or lost during the translations. God and Jesus didn't write the Bible personally and although I think I understand why - if God and Jesus had written the Bible, people would be even more sceptical than they already are because it would be dismissed as the ramblings of a pair of narcissistic lunatics, but by relying on multiple different humans to do so, God and Jesus allowed them to exercise a degree of free will in describing historical events - it means that we need to take the possible consequences of human error and/or human duplicity into account.

What evidence? The fact that a book said it and people believed it?
@josephrohland5604
@josephrohland5604 2 жыл бұрын
How's this for Biblical evidence? If you believe the Bible, then you'd have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 15:24, that he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. You'd have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 5:18, that no jot nor tittle of the (Old Covenant) Law would pass away until the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it (what Jews referred to as "heaven and earth") passed away. You'd have to agree with history, that the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it passed away in AD 70. You'd have to agree with Paul, who said in Romans 5:13, "Where there is no (Old Covenant) Law, sin is not taken into account." This of course means that salvation was only needed by those who had sin taken into account, which is not us today. You'd also have to agree with Hebrews 9:15, that redemption was only for those who sinned under the first covenant, which again...is not us today. The bitter pill of truth is that nobody has been saved nor redeemed for nearly two thousand years. The "church" has been in a massive error; a complete hijacking of ancient Israel's redemptive narrative. "But...but...I'm a gentile!" Are you? The gentiles Paul and the disciples were preaching to were either Greek converts to Judaism, or the elect diaspora, grafted-in descendants of the tribes of Israel who had been dispersed among the nations. Through the ministry of the disciple's great commission, they were called out from the nations to again be a holy nation of kings and priests, to be sealed for the day of redemption, which only they lived to see. Nobody today is gentile of that sort. Today's self-appointed "christians" have been brainwashed to believe they're sinners under a law that passed away...and need a savior who said he came for someone else...who will save them from a sin that's already been removed...and a judgement that already happened...and allow them into a covenant that was made with someone else. The fact is we today were never and are not part of ancient Israel's exclusive redemptive narrative.~Michael Bradley

The Beatitudes refer to the period of The Great Tribulation. Christ refers to the gospel of the kingdom in these verses. What would be really great is if Denominations would quit combining the gospel of the kingdom, which Christ taught to the Jews, with the gospel of Christ (gospel of the grace of God) which Paul taught by divine revelation from Christ.

You mean those that mistakenly "call" themselves christian because it is impossible for an ordinary man number one two or three to be, able to become a christian, even if it were possible to discover what Christ's precepts were in order to *live* them. Pseudo Christians imagine that*saying* that they are Christians makes them Christians. It is trick they should try with being a millionaire. Now that the tradition has gone extinct there is no way of discovering what the chaps precepts were. Aliter were the tradition were still extant, which to the best of my information it is not.

When we have reasons for what we believe, we have no need of faith; when we have no reasons, or bad ones, we have lost our connection to the world and to one another. Atheism is nothing more than a commitment to the most basic standard of intellectual honesty: One’s convictions should be proportional to one’s evidence. Pretending to be certain when one isn’t-indeed, pretending to be certain about propositions for which no evidence is even conceivable-is both an intellectual and a moral failing. Only the atheist has realized this. The atheist is simply a person who has perceived the lies of religion and refused to make them his own.

Speaking of false history....... There is no contemporary historical mention of Jesus, Abraham, John the Baptist, King David or Moses anywhere outside of the bible.... The Egyptians kept very detailed records of everything..... even laundry lists....Carved in stone (as opposed to the tattered old scrolls that were misinterpreted from the start and changed many times to fit the politics of the leader at the time) . AND there is no mention of Jewish slaves or the Exodus..... many orthodox Jews know this too..... and Christians cannot tell you who the pharaoh was who had the plagues cast down on him...and there is nothing on the walls of the pyramids indicating who that pharaoh could possibly be..... . The timeline is just not there.... Neither is the "evidence"...It doesn't add up....... Your belief is not based on solid evidence but on solid tribal hearsay passed down through the ages and enhanced at every generation........ The ones who believe, WANT to believe.... If they had proof they would then "know" and not need to "believe" ..... The proof is not just weak, it does not exist....

1 Corinthians was written around 55 AD. That's 25 years after Jesus' death. Paul mentions 500 people, most of whom still alive, which would make them in their 40's or 50's, all plausible. Since he knows some of them have passed away, he has obviously had some kind of reliable contact with them, whether through intermediaries, or most likely, personally. He says he met with Peter and James for 2 weeks (Galatians 1:18-19), whom he mentions as having seen Christ. How this is hearsay, I don't know.

"Paul personally affirms that Jesus appeared to him, so this is firsthand testimony, paul didn't just pick up list of strangers on the street. The leading view is that he got it directly from eyewitnesses Peter and James themselves, and he took great pains to confirm it accuracy." How do you know that? Paul received this material 3 years after his conversion, when he took a trip to Jerusalem and met with Peter and James. Galatians 1:18-19 where he uses the Greek word historeo. Why is that significant? "Because this word indicates that he didn't just casually shoot the breeze when he met with them. It shows it was a investigative inquiry. Paul was playing the role of an examiner, someone who was carefully checking this out. Gary Habermas.

@Ilionshebnne Mro I`m not the one clamming that my particular religion has the true answer and every other religion claim is false, if you make the claim you take the burden of proof. The problem is that when you make the claim this is the true religion anyone will ask: “alright you say this is the true religion, please show me the evidence that this is the true religion and every other one is false”, then you suddenly notice that there is no evidence to back your claim as true and there is no good reason why anyone should believe what you are saying is true, my life does not revolve around the claim that I cannot show to be true. Guess what many lives revolve believing this as true to have any purpose in this world. The reason we try to do this kind of apologetics is to try to confirm we are already right. But contrary you truly need an open mind to possibly changing what you already believe, it is very difficult and emotionally stressful to change what you believe as fundamental as your religion, it is highly traumatic, most people who approach this topics are not willing to do it, because they don’t want to be proved wrong, and they aren’t going to believe someone else but they might believe themselves when they find out actually they actually were wrong about their believes. Remember: Go wherever the truth leads you, All true is god`s true and If is true it comes from god, So you shouldn’t` be afraid of It. It may cause emotional trouble but you shouldn’t be afraid of the true. Are you willing to change your mind if It doesn’t go that way?

Jesus means "the savior" Christ is Greek for "the messiah" The new bible was written in a time of war between Isreal and Rome. There were many different saviors and messiahs. Flavious Josephus served his lord Flavious Vespasian. He wrote what Vespasian told him to write. Vespasian conqured the Jews. He became Ceasar - and built the Coliseum from spoils like the Menurah. They wrote the new testament to divide the Jews, and prevent them from rebelling again. It's all Roman propaganda.They invented Christianity to divide the Jews after they burned down Rome in 66AD. There are many things in their new version of the Bible "The New Testament" where you can see the signature of Rome. Symbolically Vespasian made himself their God. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ6ohJZ_isipsJI

hmm, that may have some to do with fact that the story of jesus is a very precisely and carefully crafted work of objective art does not necessarily reflect the fact that(and here I am n thin ice)these Masters that crop up from time to time * lived - *were* their teaching which was not necessarily that wordy If a chap is or *lives his teaching(if you will embodies it) it is teaching by *showing* rather than teaching by telling. the tale of jesus (think of a name ) the jesussy(?) can touch those who encounter it depending on their conditioning or just say it lands on some functions and not others. Not eveything *can be put in words. All brer Pavlovitz is saying is that while bits of the jesussy touched some of his functions, he was expecting or hoping from it -*both* forms of dreaming to which men are adducted or by which they are hypnotised - and the method devised by jesus who experienced the slavery of men to their functions for himself was (insofar as one can get anything from accounts rather than meeting the man) to devise a method of freeing them from how they had become as a result of some majorfcuk_ up, somewhere along the line. some take the jesussy as his method or plan and others as a rather feeble exhortation to be jolly decentchap - they see him as partly moralistic, a partly as father Christmas or whatever the kinderlander(Americans) call the spirit of Christmas, The trouble with his teaching for some is that they have told about it but not old of what it consisted, which almost certainly cannot be found in what of what went into the KJV. There must once have a been a living tradition of christianity, but now all that is left is the box in which it came. jesus the man and jesus the embodied teaching is no lost forever and there is no way of discovering what the techniques were, but from what one can discover of the fragments available he tried to get his pupils to understand something about *I* and how to try to balance the functions it is a pretty scary guy that that says "Men think, perhaps, that it is peace which I have come to cast upon the world. They do not know that it is dissension which I have come to cast upon the earth: fire, sword, and war. For there will be five in a house: three will be against two, and two against three, the father against the son, and the son against the father. And they will stand solitary." He plainly also had a rather specialised vocabulary. There is no way to discover what his method was now that christianity is no longer a living tradition and there are no christens; plenty that like to *say* they are Christians but know nothing of the teaching and could not be Christians if they wanted.

The farther man gets away from the resurrection down the road of time, and the more the world comes apart at the seems, the closure we are to a culmination of all things as designed by the creator of this world and its inhabitants. And that's not good for those who think God owes them something. In fact God is clear that he will send a great delusion on these people to cement them in their beliefs, thereby they will not have eternity with God. Has to happen. The great divide. Men's hearts grow cold. I see it happening more and more, and faster too. People want to believe anything but truth.

To add on another problem with the so called theory that the early Christians copied pagan deities of dying and rising "gods" when we read in Acts 17:17-21 tells us that when Paul and other Disciples of Christ who were preaching the gospel to the gentiles "greeks/romans", never came across the problem of them saying that they simply copied their story of dying and rising gods, but they were saying that they had never heard of such a message. It would be impossible to spread the message of saving grace in Christ Jesus to the gentiles as well as the Jews because this was a new idea to their ears. There is no idea that the pagan gods died for the sins of the world, that sin/evil was placed on them for what sinful humanity has done and then rise from the dead thereby defeating death and sin once and for all for whoever believes in them will be righteous before God having been purified and clean and glorified for what their gods did for them and that the sacrifice was a one time thing which meant that it was finished, fulfilled and paid in full the debt of sin so that there would be no more need for any more sacrifices, but thats not what we see in ancient pagan false gods. Only in Christ Jesus we see this! Glory to the true God Almighty!

That is not good reasoning. The idea isn't that the gospel and NT writers necessarily sat down and wanted to repackage pagan myths, though that could have happened of course. The idea is that these are the _kinds_ of stories that people just make up through a variety of pathways, from original invention, to copying and recopying, through slight modification. Where do you think false religious ideas come from in the first place? People literally just sit down and make them up, and they spread. It's normal in human culture. Syncretism was the norm in the ancient world and this whole assertion that "such a message" was unique, unheard of, and "therefore" impossible to spread is just ludicrous. People will believe all sorts of crazy unheard of things despite the cultural background or norms present, and _obviously_ all the pagan myths, with all their unique features and intricate details - which Christians reject a priori - were just invented by people, too. There is no reason that the Christian religion's message could not have been invented via a very similar process, and the fact that it spread around against certain cultural norms in no way supports the idea that "it just had to be true!" Most people who are Christian just believe it despite never having any encounter with the supernatural at all, most early Christians never met Jesus (obviously), so you can't explain the rise of Christianity based on the idea that events that virtually nobody (if anybody) witnessed...so that idea makes no explanatory sense. The reason people believe the message of Christianity isn't because it's true - it's just because it has a lot of appeal as a belief system - which was obviously true 2000 years ago too - and in the modern era, it has been normalized culturally and instilled in people at young ages. These kinds of apologetical arguments just don't hold water and are naive in the extreme.

HUH. What are you talking about. The idea of Christ came from reincarnating gods. Only the aim of the reincarnation is what’s original, though barely. Of course the Greeks came across the problem. That’s why Acts 17:17-21 acts so incredulous and novel. According to the historical method they DID encounter this idea before the bible. The only difference is gods like Tammuz died for the love of a woman rather than the moral currency of mankind, but there were literally three other cults during Moses’s time period that had The Exact Same narrative, and they were all competing for “best Rationale of self-sacrificing gods” Like even if we granted Christ was original in semantic respects, it doesn’t render it less empirically unlikely or even novel. Nothing is ever Fully novel.

@@tommytomtom5531 I`m not the one clamming that my particular religion has the true answer and every other religion claim is false, if you make the claim you take the burden of proof. I love listening to The Craig “especially on this topic, but what I find interesting when discussing the topic of the resurrection and the disciples belief that Jesus rose from the dead, “and this isn’t just the Craig by any means” but when talking about all the reasons why the disciples would never have made Jesus up as far as rising from the dead and knowing that it was a lie and for which they went all the way to their deaths for which would be terrible enough but I never hear any Christian apologists pointing the fact out that though it would be bad enough to knowingly lie about what they knew was a lie and would go to their gruesome deaths for but most importantly they would know that their judgement from God would be eternal hellfire. They were preaching that liars will not enter it the Kingdom of Heaven and the disciples would be making up the greatest lie ever. That God came down from Heaven who manifested into human flesh who is Jesus Christ who preached He was the Messiah/Savior of the world which would lead not just the disciples to hell but everyone else the disciples were preaching to “if they converted”. So how great a punishment that would be for the disciples to make up this idea for what they knew to be a lie and to know they would be judged righteously by God for whom they blasphemed by making up this Jesus as Lord and Savior and preaching this lie to others. I’m sorry but that alone tells me that the disciples were not lying or making up this fantasy only to get their arses kicked or thrown in prison and eventually killed by the Jews and Romans and whoever they preached to all for what they knew to be a lie and then knowing they would be judge to hell forever because of the great lie. Sorry but not gonna happen. Jesus rose from the dead so that we sinners “al humanity” could be redeemed for our spiritual debt of sin and be made righteous before God Almighty. For we are saved by Gods grace/love/ mercy through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not of works lest anyone should boast but rather our good deeds in Christ for Gods glory is a testament to our saving Faith in Christ and when we are in Heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us in the cross and rose from the dead thereby defeating death and sin once and for all, we will then receive Heaven eternal rewards for the works we have done for Gods glory!

EXCELLENT FAITH-BUILDING PRESENTATION DR CRAIG! MY MOST WHOLE-HEARTEDLY THANKS. I just have one question, if our Lord Jesus was resurrected on the third day, i.e. Sunday, that means that he died on Thursday? not Friday. I would be eternally grateful if you could clarify this point. Thanks in advance.

Hello :) I’m no Biblical scholar, by any means, but my understanding is that Friday is counted as Day 1. So on the first day, Jesus died and was buried. The second day was the Sabbath (Sat), which is why the women did not come to finish anointing Jesus’s body, and then on the third day (Sun) the empty tomb was discovered. Hope that helps! God bless!

Simply explanaton: If you had a trip-plan,you would count like this: Monday: First Day: Go to the beach Tuesday: Second Day: Go to museum Wednesday: Third Day: Visiting traditional attraction And so on... So,you would call Monday as the first day,and Wednesday as the third day. Similarly with Jesus' crusifixion and resurrection;Friday is counted as the First Day,Saturday is the Second Day,and Sunday is the Third Day. Shalom from Indonesia.

The empty tomb of a known and wealthy man must have been known to everyone in Jerusalem and so many must have checked ✔ on the empty tomb themselves making it very clear that something extraordinary must have happened here. It's like you saw the burial of a good friend and 3 days later the grave was open, and the corpse missing and your friend meeting up with others.
@biedl86
@biedl86 2 жыл бұрын
That's right, wealthy people got tombs, criminals got thrown into mass graves most of the time. That's historical fact. Since Paul didn't mention a tomb, let alone an empty tomb, it's an extraordinary claim, saying that Jesus had a tomb for himself in the first place. Paul is considered to be the best source in terms of reliability, when it comes to claims regarding Jesus' life. Paul never met Jesus during his lifetime. He wrote about him 30 years after his death. The tomb is first mentioned by anonymous, non contemporary authors, who spoke Greek instead of arameic, 40 years after the fact (gospel of Mark). After all, Jesus' crucifixion was his death sentence. That's not what you get, if you are well known, accepted and wealthy. That's how they treated the people, who they (as in Romans) thought to be criminals. Craig knows all of that too.
@platzhirsch4275
@platzhirsch4275 2 жыл бұрын
@@biedl86 jesus however wasn't thrown into a mass grave, as prophesied before in the Jewish scriptures about the suffering servant and the messiah. Let's be very clear about that. He was placed in a grave of a wealthy member of the sanhedrin which most have been known by the people of Jerusalem. So it was easy for the people to check on the grave themselves. Its the empty tomb and the missing body that made it possible for Christianity to spread so fast plus ➕ the fact that all 11 apostles where so convinced of the resurrection that they where prepared to go through gruesome deaths for the truth. All. Concerning Paul he met the risen Jesus on the way to Damascus and the Holy spirit touched him giving him his wisdom after and change of heart. Thank you...

However the following extract/quote puts it far better than I can or could: >>>>"And so, my boy, in consequence of the fact that that period of time coincided with that ‘particularly sharp functioning’ which I already once mentioned, of the strange reason of these three-brained beings pleasing to you-in the sense of the periodic ‘Ekbarzerbazia’ which had long been an inherent need for them ‘to-lead-into-error-beings around-them-similar-to-themselves’-at which period, many of them strove to be called ‘learned,’ of course, of’new format,’ and also on account of the fact that at that time there were many such beings among the mentioned ordinary beings around them, then they *‘inserted’* for transmission to subsequent generations, in most of the notes and expressions of those stories of the witnesses about this sacred process, such ‘absurdities’ that in addition to this indubitable information, that Jesus Christwas crucified on a cross, and that after the crucifixion He was buried, they also proved just as convincingly that after His crucifixion and burial, Jesus Christ was resurrected and continued to exist among them and to teach this and that, and only afterwards did He raise Himself with His planetary body to Heaven. “The result of this kind of, in the objective sense, *‘criminal wiseacring’* of theirs, was that in the beings of subsequent generations, genuine faith in all this Divine and uniquely accomplished teaching of salvation of the All Loving Jesus Christ was totally destroyed. “These absurdities which were written down began gradually to engender in the presences of certain of the beings of subsequent generations the impulse of doubt,not only concerning what I have just said, but also doubt relating in general to all the real information and accurate instructions and explanations of this Sacred Individual intentionally actualized among them from Above. “The data, however, for the doubt of these mentioned certain terrestrial three-brained beings of subsequent generations began to be crystallized and became an inalienable part of their common presences, chiefly because even in them in spite of the process, inherent in them, of almost automatic existence, yet nevertheless during a long period of time-many of their centuries-they gradually acquired from this automatic crystallizing, data for a more or less correct instinctive sensing of certain cosmic truths, as for instance,concerning the *indubitable truth*, that if the process of the sacred Rascooarno occurs to any being, or as they say ‘if someone dies’and is moreover buried, then this being will never exist again, nor furthermore will he ever speak or teach again."

The other side is hoping for a lot of people who had an NDE to raise awareness about the afterlife. But it's not always easy to come up with it, there's a lot of controversy over the NDE topics and it's not easy to risk criticism from the people you trust and love, that's why a lot of people don't talk about their NDE. It's a big problem that humanity doesn't have a clue what happens after death. But it's only true for the last one hundred years or so!!! Before that time, everyone on earth knew that there's an afterlife, there's eternity. The oldest things we find of our ancestors, some of those things are thirty thousand years old, are things that were put into graves of loved ones. That's a proof that even then, people believed in the afterlife. They knew that there's eternity, just like there's human life on earth!!! It's a scam to blind us. It's a scam to make us go astray. If we knew that there's eternity, that there's a life review and that we must stand before judgement and explain what we have done in our own life's time, we would take a lot of care of the most precious thing there is, our soul. And the harvest that our soul brings back to eternity.

NDEs are one of the many things that have drawn me towards supernatural belief in general and Christianity in particular, but on my path I've run into frequent doubts, one of those being the encounters people report having with religious figures during NDEs. Many describe meeting Jesus, but I've also come across reports of other religious figures such as the Buddha and Hindu avatars. How can we make sense of this? That some afterlife experiences are genuine whereas others are merely brain-related? Or that God appears to people sometimes in a way they will understand?
@albamonn1924
@albamonn1924 Жыл бұрын
@@tomemery7890 I think it's important to remember that a near-death-experience is the most personal thing that can happen to anyone. It's like a blueprint for your inner state of being. I felt that talking about my near-death-experience was something so intimate, that I didn't want to talk about it in the beginning, at all. I felt a golden globe around my heart as long as I didn't share anything about it, that broke when I told my husband a week later and he didn't believe me. I can only say that I was doomed in my near-death-experience without forgiveness. I felt that this was the absolute truth. There wasn't any hope without forgiveness. And remember that I had to forgive someone who I held responsible for the death of my newborn baby!!! I can't think of anything else that is more unforgivable!!! It's not important for the other side if we were good-looking or loved by lots of people. It's only important what is inside of us. This is the content of our heart and that's the harvest that we bring with us when we return to the other side. Of course we all come from there. When I saw the judgement of my lifetime harvest, and I saw that it was a total failure, that it was not enough, it hurt so much that it was enormous emotional pain. The pain was seeing what I had brought with me and it was so much anger and hate, negativity, even thinking God is evil and bad to let my own baby die and give me so much heartache. I was looking down at God, in my mind, saying, obviously you are not doing a very good job, if you let my baby die, what kind of God does that, how could you be just and righteous and loving if you do that to me?!? Shame on you, and if I didn't deserve that, then the whole creation got out of hand and your place is vacant in heaven because you don't deserve to be God if you are not fit for the job!!! I was very angry and felt treated extremely unfairly, and I blamed God for all of it. Please note that I didn't doubt if God existed, but I felt like he didn't do his job right. In my near-death-experience he got all the answers for me. I was presented the results of my emotional harvest on earth and it was devastating. When I prayed for another chance, saying that I can do a lot better, I got a definite feeling that it's too late. I was asking for forgiveness for myself, and I got the definite feeling that it's too late. I was full of deep despair, deep remorse, deep love and understanding and acceptance, and most importantly full of an absolute longing for forgiveness for myself..... I knew that the only thing I needed was forgiveness, to erase my sins....... But I realized that it is necessary to ask for forgiveness before you cross over to the other side. It's too late once you have changed sides. I think it has to do with insights. Once you are on the other side it's easy to have all the necessary insights because the truth about your own lifetime, about your own character, about your own mistakes, is presented to you. So in a way when you are sorry then, it's something that doesn't come from your own insights, from your own motivation, from your own realization, that you have done something wrong. It's rather something that was spiritually spoon fed to you. That's why it doesn't count, I guess.... When I was confronted with my own imminent death, my own spiritual death, I remembered what my baby daughter had told me in the beginning of my near-death-experience, when she appeared at my hospital bed as a grown-up soul. She had constantly asked me to forgive him.... I was suddenly clever enough to understand why she had said that all the time... She loves me, she wanted to save me, and the only way to be saved is by forgiveness!!! To forgive him meant that at the same time, I would be saved by the forgiveness of God for myself, if only I forgive everyone that I can't forgive!!! I immediately decided to forgive him and I felt the most beautiful emotions, peace of mind, calmness, serenity, happiness, reliefs, and a huge heavy burden had been lifted from me!!!! It's about what the content of our heart and soul is. If we think we are righteous and we still criticise everyone we meet, this isn't what God wants for us to do. God wants for us to forgive everyone because we meet God in everyone of his children, no matter what they do, no matter what their insights are. If they cause a lot of pain in the lives of others they probably are spiritual babies and don't know what they are doing in the first place!!! Anyway it's our job to keep our heart and soul clean, no matter what happens to us. It's obvious that if there's a lot of challenges for us in life, God thinks that we are capable of dealing with those challenges with forgiveness and keeping our souls clean. I have found that I had a lot of questions before my near-death-experience happened. When I was standing before the judgement I had lost all interest about the overall questions about others, and I realized that it was just a distraction from the only job that I have in life, that is, to keep my heart and soul clean so that I can bring a lot of good emotional harvest with me when I cross over to the other side!!!!!! Honesty I don't care if some meet religious leaders of some sort or not because I know that everyone, every single one of humanity, before us, with us and after us, will meet their precise and righteous judgement!!! And without forgiveness everyone is doomed. There's even a word from Jesus where he says, if you don't forgive the sins of your fellow man, God can't forgive your sins either!!! He even said, make peace with your fellow man before you are in front of the judgement, because it will be necessary to pay back every dime you owe before you are released from prison.... I hope my answers were sufficient for you. In the end, it's all about the huge responsibility we have for our own heart and soul. It's easy to concentrate on the shortcomings of others, on the lifetime of others, but it's only a distraction from the enemy. It's sufficient to keep people distracted from their own heart and soul. If you keep a close eye on your own heart and soul, it's a million times better than making guesses about the near-death-experience of others. I can testify that eternity is real, that your own lifetime and your own forgiveness, will determine the fate you have to face in eternity. It's enough to understand that and very many people as Jesus said, are walking on the wide road to perish and only a few are walking on the narrow path to heaven. Always be aware of that you want to pass the test and belong to those people. That's what matters.

@ DebatingWombat I agree, but even if there's no historical proof, that still doesn't mean that it didn't happen. Just means that its difficult to prove.

What could or might constitute whatever you mean by proof for you? there is no admissible evidence that he ever even existed although plainly someone had a fairly profound effect on those who met him, but what is in a name?

This is really not that complicated. People over-think everything and make it harder to understand. When u understand that we are spirits having a human experience, and that Human flesh dies, then the resurrection, refers to his spirit... the flesh he was In is NOT who made him who he was, but the spirit Inside did... and once released from the flesh(that has died) then the spirit resurrects. The Bible was written by man and not to be taken so literal. The concepts... those came from above.

Also the mind is distinct from matter. Consciousness alone from the onset disproves materialism. Our personal freedom is self evident. Then we see that the mind cannot die a physical death as it has no body. And so on.

@@delgande Consciousness is a product of a mind which in turn is an emergent property of a brain. Please demonstrate that it is possible for a consciousness to exist without a brain, I'm waiting with baited breath 🤭😴😴😴😴

I don't understand how a god can obligate is based if i want to believe Jesus disciples or not And once I'm not obligated it makes no sense that i can just choose to, and if i do, and it turns out true, I'll get saved, makes no sense, it must obligate, which can only be with a personal revelation for one himself or public in order to make a public religion Anything shorter than that isn't worth of a true religion
