For your camera you might wanna get a set of ND filters or a variable ND filter so you can reduce the light getting onto your sensor, so you can decrease your shutter speed to make your cam appear less choppy. Make sure to set your ISO as low as possible though. If you stream in 30p ---> Shutter speed should be 1/30s. If you stream in 60p it should be 1/60s. Having slower shutter will make your video brighter so you will probably need ND filters even with minimal ISO. You can also use a polarizing filter to dramatically reduce reflections if you wear glasses for example. Have fun streaming.
@EthosAtheos3 жыл бұрын
I do agree with you on the usefulness of ND filters. However you got the shutter speed to frame rate numbers 100% wrong. You should using a shutter speed that is twice the FPS of the captured video or a 180 degrees shutter angle. Or to put it another way @30fps you need a 1/60th shutter speed, @60fps you need a 1/120th shutter speed, @240fps (slow motion capture) you need 1/480th shutter speed. Following the 180 rule will give you a more cinematic look and be more pleasing to the eye. Also keep in mind there are 2 frame rates you are concerned with. First is the speed that you are capturing from the camera. The second is the frame rate of the stream. You might have a camera that is capturing 60fps but the stream is only going to the platform at 30fps. The speed that you can capture, encode and upload is a more complex topic. Provided you have enough light to follow the 180 rule. The ND filter allows you to control exposure when you have fixed your ISO as low as it will go and your shutter speed at 2x the captured frame rate. One place that ND filters are vital is taking long exposures in full sunlight. Most home studios don't have enough light to need an ND filter. With 6 17w LED bulbs my streaming setup is not bright enough for 1/120th and iso 50 (the lowest my camera supports). I end up using the ISO to control exposure at the expense of image noise.
@disco.jellyfish3 жыл бұрын
@@EthosAtheos Well you will need NDs with bigger sensor sizes, as the generally capture more light espeically with good lenses, which let more light pass through to said sensor. You usually also want to match framerates. If you only streaming in 30p there is no point in your camera capturing 60p.

I redecorated my room recently and was stuck for a while on what to do for a desk. Managed to get a kitchen breakfast bar worktop which was damaged so was going to be getting thrown out by the company. I ended up paying £30 for it and turns out the size I needed meant I could cut off the damaged section. So now I have a perfectly good desk which only cost £30 + the two IKEA Alex drawers I already had
