In some respects I feel sorry for the Royals. Imagine living a life where every moment of every hour of every day was orchestrated and micromanaged. It didn't allow for bad hair days or under the weather days. I would find that a bit difficult day after day for all of my life. That must have been why Balmoral was/is so important to them.

Both myself and my oldest brother have liver damage. Doctors are always telling us to, “stop drinking!” We are always telling the doctors “don’t drink, never drank!” of course they don’t believe us! So damage can be caused by other things other than drinking. In my case, I found out that it was caused from a surgery I had when I was in my early 20s. So, possibly Prince Philip did not drink as much as one might think.

You are in deed a charming host Shauna. However, the more I learn about the monarchy, the greater the need to end the monarchy now. One cannot help but think of all the elderly pensioners in the UK who die of cold every winter, and likely in the heat of summer, unable to afford to both eat and heat/cool their homes, while the monarchy lives a life of luxury increasing their wealth, and attempting to look useful by snipping a few ribbons. Oh, and arranging a fancy State Funeral to boot! There is a reason other countries have tossed their royals.
