I find it interesting that there are common denominators with Di, Fergie and Rachel who, after marrying into the RF, created scandals. 1) Their parents were divorced. 2) They were, for the most part, raised by their fathers. 3) Each claimed they were "victims" of not just the newspapers, but of the RF and the firm's employees. Could it be that, without their maternal parent to guide them in growing up they lacked the learning of social necessities so much so that they over indulged themselves and became entrenched with their own entitlement?

I have never warmed to Fergie, but I understand that she had severe abandonment issues stemming from her formative years when her Mum ran off with another man and moved to Argentina. Whilst her Father was consistently critical of her and never gave her the approval she craved. Seems to me that she was a pleaser who lacked boundaries or an understanding of who she was. However, she not a bad person. I think she craved intimacy and love, hence her ultimate inappropriateness after then feeling abandoned from her new Husband. Conversely, MM also had an absent Mother during her formative years but unfortunately, her Father over compensated and the impact clearly manifested itself as narcissistic personality disorder. I find that Sarah has always been immature and unwilling or unable to take responsibility for her actions. Sarah seems to live in a way in which she believes that doing one public good deed will erase any previous and multiple bad deeds. She also very oddly acts as the victim and the hero at the same time. She wants sympathy as well as praise. She tries to be posh, yet she is so very vulgar in so many ways. I think she would be exhausting to be around. I think The Windsors did great job in portraying her🤣🤣 Have you read Lady C's "The Royal Marriages"? It is a fantastic read !! Sip🥤🥤

I didnt realise that she came from a wealthy family or that she was so entitled. I still havent got over the fact she thought it was OK to throw typewriters out of the window. Not only is that vandalism but what if someone had been walking by. its rather like she never learnt to behave and joining the RF wasnt going to make her start. Ive gone right off her now. 😂😂😂

What amazes me about Fergie, assuming it is true, is that she was Head Girl at her school. I remember someone commenting that she would be absolutely perfect working behind a bar.I agree.

@@chimerat8012 Oh yes - she would be perfect in a bar! No there is a job she and Adrew could do together - run a Free House.

Hmm 🤔. Think I’d take some of what Sarah is saying with a pinch of salt. I may not be an aristocrat but even I’d know you don’t take, or greet, someone at the sovereigns entrance! Get eugenies late birth. My daughter was posterior breech. Ouch! She’d been turned but, being a big baby, had turned herself back. Stress does not cause it either! She acts sometimes with naivety , stupidness and arrogance - all at one. Not trying to be rude just trying to understand her sometimes. She’s like a train at full speed. 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺

We can only take Sarah's word for her recollections. Imo, she's untrustworthy. She's the little girl who whipped her pony. She seems insensitive to others and very sensitive to herself. She held a housewarming the day of her mother's husband's memorial so her mother had to attend? It's so selfish!! To be fair the late-QEII didn't brag about being a wonderful mother or whinge about not being with the children. Different times.

Greetings Shauna! FYI, I'm convinced the Megs also read Lady C's book about Princess Diana. Have you heard the phrase, "Too much of a coincidence to be a concidence"? As you read through it you cannot miss the blueprint for all of Megs' behavior clearly laid out on a platter. How odd, inhuman and robotic to have no originality whatsoever. Even Lady C admits her copying the book is quite likely.

The Royal Family will be making a huge mistake having Beatrice more on the scene during Catherine’s recouperation period.. ..and I think she comes as a package deal with Eugene, who is definitely not to be trusted!. The apples don’t fall far from the tree. Sarah is hoping everyone has forgotten her past. We have not, now again thanks to you!! Phillip was spot on about both Sarah and Meghan. Ostracize them totally…it’s the only way.

Will you comment on Fergie’s behavior at Cannes? She looked great except for the pony tail. But her shouting at the crowd to listen to her. What??

It was a rowdy crowd and Demi Moore also came up and had a go at the crowd. All a bit much!!!

she sounds like an extremely myopic, self absorbed individual. my mother watched the engagement interview of Andrew and Sarah and she asked me why Andrew made a certain comment. a reporter made a comment about her needing a new wardrobe ,etc for her new life and Andrew responded by saying "she's my mother's choice, let her buy her clothes". i was quite astounded by that. the only thing i can think of is that it wasn't his choice to marry her. date her yes, marry her no. if she wasn't good enough to be a lady in waiting to Diana, what made her good enough to be the wife of a prince.

Do you remember just b4 A&S were married - there was a statement that they were to live together in Malta or some place and have some time together before being working royals? The point being that they were married, together, hopefully making beautiful babies - not yet in the full glare of public scrutiny. Don't know what happened to that plan or why. I always felt sorry for Fergie. Yes some mighty bad decisions but not malicious whereas that could not be said of the other wife of a royal or the next generations wife to another former spare.

Hi Shauna, good episode as usual! I agree with you, no more sympathy for Sarah: irresponsible and selfish like a bratty teenager. I guess she has learned since.

I always kept the birth order of Beatrice and Eugenie straight by thinking of it as being alphabetical. I doubt that was intentional, but it served as a memory trick, especially when they were very young and hard to differentiate.

I'm loving this segment...I've laughed so many times my husband had to come in and ask what I was watching. But Sarah was a cheater and a bumptious fool and HLMTQ was extremely kind to her...perhaps because Andrew turned out to be such a gullible shit.

Ah, so Fergie probably made the suggestion for them to read the book - or she told them first hand. Thank you for covering this book.

The difference between Diana's tennis court and Fergie's is that had Charles agreed to it the money would come from the Duchy of Cornwall, not the Queen's purse, the Duchy of Lancaster.

I remember reading somewhere that Meghan actually uses social media. She knows what we're talking about her. Some of the crazy opinions she read and actually turned them into reality while the honest advice she ignored.

I did purchase Sarah’s book, but still on The Royals, almost done then I am going to read this book. Love your book reviews! I did purchase The Courtiers and then Diana: Shadow of a Princess. Next purchase will be King Charles III! That has to wait until I get through these 3 books! After that a really good non fiction book!

Prince Phillip wasn't the only royal who could say some strange and controversial things. Sarah seems to have little or no boundaries, does she? They live on a different level in that bubble of privilege. Thanks Shauna for another great review. I do hope you have a relaxing break and come back fired with enthusiasm about a book you're dying to share with us. Take care.
