OK so she is the lady of the local castle, and basically, some strange guy has been harassing her in the streets (that would be us, the player) so this aristocratic lady has basically decided to tell half her life story to a medieval stalker. I guess she's just bored?

maybe the scenario prologue meant that it is a civil war with two factions of rebels united against the current administration/loyalists of Toledo (apparently, a Moorish king), and Toledo got it lost right by the beginning, when you see the last remnants from the city army fleeing from there. They will fight against you because you are an opportunist smart commander who arrived there and saw a fragile and conquerable city. But that's how I understood the scenario :) For me it is fine, but I understand your point that seeing two big factions fighting against each other would be more interesting and fitting for a civil war depiction!

Well, durin the Chinese Civil War, KMT and CPC both fought against the Japanese. Though to be fair, they were allies "in name only" and "the level of actual cooperation and coordination between the CPC and KMT during World War II was at best minimal". So could be that kind of situation.

I think you can think of it as 'First you fight the greater common enemy' than continue to fight each other while letting the obvious army outside the city take control effortlessly afterwords.

Played this whole campaign on the weekend (but on Moderate, because I'm just a casual).I really got into converting enemy production building using monks, so I ended up defeating the rebels before delivering the relics. Love Viper's commentary, and really enjoyed watching the segment with consecutively dying monks.

x4 is fine but if you use x8 speedup, units can glitch into things and be stuck in mountains, float on water etc and be unobtainable in most cases. Don't risk that.

It can actually happen even in 2x, but theres need to be a lot more clutter than 8x(its basically the land version of what happens with the boats when theyre passing close to the shore(ships in 8x is horrible, half of your fleet gets stuck on land) 4x is safe unless youre passing with 200 units close to mountains and stuff

The dialogues cut in the middle because you are playing at 1.5 speed. You can change the game speed to normal every time a dialogue is triggered so we can hear it all

When I played this scenario a few weeks ago to prepare for this video (I play all the campagins before Viper does so as preparation) I accidentally realized that you can delete yellow walls. So I just deleted those which bothered me. Viper, why didn't you try to delete them as well?

Collecting 4 relics is a hectic work and you have higher risks of getting El Cid killed. And If you come a lot further in the scenario and El Cid gets killed it is really disappointing. The thing that I did(might be a sign of cowardice or may be smart..depends on your perspective) was that I created a castle and garrisoned El Cid in side it.( I traded enough stone for it and built a castle). After this I built watch towers around the castle to make it more robust. After this I made multiple fearless raids on the enemy bases to gather relics. And while returning the last relic to Imam, I took El Cid along with the monk.
