I was fortunate to watch him practice a few songs before his gig at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manila and I was struck with how passionately he sang... how he felt and meant each word. He is a most gentle man, an angel on earth. He arranged the score for Morissette's version of Could You Be Messiah.. you should watch Gary singing the same song, the Live and Raw recording.

I love the way you said about the vein in the neck. Air pressure is really the thing there because you sustain the high notes and you produce air by belting. Even when I speak, it pops out naturally when I produce more air ok belting notes. But promise, I feel relaxed and I can sing and sound like operatic style without feeling strains in my neck.
