Come on - she is a young woman. Why should she have listened to Bad Company - a 70s Rock Band? I am 65. I know my Free, Bad Company, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd but if I was a reactor I could listen to Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park etc. and honestly say I have never heard them. Each generation has their own musical universe.

Before Bad Company, Paul Rodgers and the drummer Simon Kirke played together in a band called Free. One of the best blues rock band ever. Had two masterful musician with them in Paul Kossoff (guitar)) and Andy Frasier (bass). Had a huge hit with All Right Now. Check out live versions of that or Mr Big, Ride On Pony, Wishing Well and many more.

Got to see Bad Company in 1979 in Atlanta, Ga. Sadly after 3 songs they left the stage. 🥲 it was July & just after the 4th, a few guys were shooting bottle rockets down at the stage! Paul said that one of their roady’s had been hit in the eye in Texas by a bottle rocket the week before, if the rockets stopped they would play all night! The lights dropped again & the bottle rockets took flight once more & true to his word, Bad Company left, yes sir, as fast as they appeared they were gone! O’the guys who were to blame, well as we were coming up from the floor, we watched as one of them was tossed off the top tear, the police got there before the others got tossed off, but that was the first & last time seeing Bad Company! 😨 Bad Company became a band in 1973 & they came from a few different bands, but that’s up to you to discover! He's what you'd call a "Natural". He just has the gift. I remember in the 80s listening to WKDF in Nashville. The female DJ introduced this song saying that Paul Rodgers was her favorite singer, that something about him just rang her bell. He's just that smooth.

Paul Rodgers has always been the standard for 'blues rock' singers. Since 1969's "All Right Now", when he was lead singer for Free, till now, he's maintained a very high vocal standard. He still (as of 2 years ago) performs "All Right Now" in the original key! And, that's a song he recorded 55 years ago!

@@manwithumbrella Yes, the song hit big in '70. There is, however, a "rare" video of Free performing the song live in Australia circa 1969. Poster could have the wrong date, I suppose. It's also possible that they had they performed the song before they recorded it. But, it also defies logic that an English band would be performing their first and only big hit, in Australia, before they'd even recorded it. On the other hand, Free had recorded two albums before "Fire and Water", so, maybe they actually DID perform the song live in '69, as a song they planned to record. Somebody call Paul.

He did a solo performance of this song on the piano for a television recording (around 2002). It is on KZbin and really highlights the control he has and the power and soul of his voice. Well worth looking at some of his songs with Free from the early 1970s. There are live (German) telelvision recordings of classics such as 'Be My Friend' and 'Fire and Water' which really highight how great his voice was back then and also what a wonderful band Free were.

Paul Rodgers as a solo artist is unknow but is amazing. After Free and Bad Company he did solo stuff then he started The Firm with Jimmy Page, you might remember their hit "Radio Active". After that he created "The Law" followed by more solo stuff. He toured with Queen as their lead singer for a few years. Just so versatile and great. I once saw him touring as a solo artist with BTO. I asked the people beside me who they came to see and they said BTO, they didn't know who Paul Rodgers was. I told them they will be amazed at the songs he sings that they will recognize. During his performance they kept looking at me recognizing his songs. At the end they knew and would never forget who Paul Rodgers is.

Paul Rogers is one of the absolute BEST vocalists in a "rock/blues" mix from late 60's on throughout the 70's. Paul Rodgers joined the band, Free, when he was 18 years old (in 1968). He is now 74 years old. I don't know the date of this concert but in 2016, he had the first of two major strokes (plus some minor ones). These effected his speech and singing abilities.

Paul Rogers is all rock singer's favorite singer. ( Free, Spirit, Bad Company which was an early " Super Group" members from Free, Mott the Hoople and King Crimson. The name came from the former Mott the Hoople guitarist player " Mick Ralphs. In this later version, the second guitarist is Howards Leese from Heart. There are so many great Pau Rogers Songs. Plus, he toured with Queen.

I’m 61 years old and in around 1989-90, I had the sheer luck to share 2 mugs of beer with Paul at a tiny bar in Dublin-Ohio. I’d grown up with Bad Co. 8-tracks and he is the most humble, down to earth man. I still feel like it didn’t happen sometimes, but it did. Treat yourself to his song with ‘Free’-“Alright Now.” His voice is legendary.
