Time and time again, Lara Fabian not only sings, but tells the story of the song as if she has lived it deeply. The level of her sensibility is so out of charts. Besides all of that, she is a humble person and so gracious when she sings with aspiring singers like very young people in music contests. Another astonishing thing about her is how easily she learns languages. She is a consummate artist and a wonderful human being. Absolutely inspiring and beautiful through and through. Thank you so much for your incredible analysis of her performances and it is so interesting to see your beautiful face changing expressions as you watch her. Laura really does it, she live emotions rawly and when she translates them she translates ours. We feel so entranced, so emotional, so deeply involved with her in that moment. Her intelligence to sing and, above all, her tenderness invades our souls and hearts and minds and stay with us. I love listening to what you have to say about her and her quality as a singer. You truly have this amazing skill, just like her, to translate the depth of an emotion and a being. You catch everything so beautifully. I am sure she feels honored to be translated as a person and as a singer so completely and clearly and beautifully by a surely knowledgeable, sensitive, and captivating professional and human being like you.

Very well said my dear. Lara gave lessons how to perform but nobody followed, probably because she is so unique and inimitable. She is adorable as an artist and a human but she has to know when to withdraw from extreme publicity being a beggar of popularity and destroying what she has achieved

In fact in this song, but also in her version of another famous and beautiful Italian song “Caruso”, you can see very well that Italian blood, Sicilian blood, flows in her veins. You can see all the temperament and passion of an Italian in interpreting this wonderful Italian song by Massimo Ranieri. She literally lives the words of the lyrics of the song. Lara is the best live performer, artist, of the last 20-30 years. She makes it look easy. It's not. Can she sing out of tune for even one note? Does everything ring, resonant? How does she move from conversation to sweetness to belting effortlessly? Does anyone else have such beautiful, consistent phrasing? and...you can't take your eyes off of her...captivating. Fabulous Fabian.

Well, I've watched the 'other' live version 500 times I think! I didn't know this one existed, I enjoyed this just as much, though the other is more produced and polished maybe. So excited to find she's appearing at the RAH in London on May 9th and determined to get tickets to see her. The greatest female vocalist I've ever come across in my 71 years. I trained as an operatic tenor at the RNCM and have had a career in music for 55 years. Sang to millions on TV many times, west end shows and a 67,000 stadium crowd. She can make me cry in seconds. She is sublime. And it couldn't be done better by anybody. I feel qualified to say so. I've started a Facebook fan club today Lara Fabian fans UK. Please join us!

Watching this reaction AGAIN… and just so, SO appreciative of your TIMING. I’ve watched reactor after reactor just BUTCHER Lara’s performances because they aren’t paying ATTENTION to the musical phrasing, and they stop the song mid-phrase, and often even mid-NOTE, for chrissakes… And often to make banal, inane comments that either don’t need saying, or at the very least could WAIT. The self-importance of someone who thinks their every utterance more relevant than the performance on which they’re commenting is just… heinous. You clearly respect the performance enough to pause it in APPROPRIATE places. It’s just such a relief and a joy to find someone doing this RIGHT. Brava.

She and Dimash and Angelina Jordan and those others who have devoted their incredibly elevated God-given talent and lives to music from a young age fill me with awe. I am so grateful to live in this time when we can experience such beauty from artists around the world. And I grieve that we cannot hear them in person. It used to be that I never really knew what I would do if I won the lotter - which is probably why I don't buy the tickets - but now I know. This is an iconic song in Italy ( Massimo Ranieri ), her rendition is very personal and spectacular. Her Italian, being her mother Italian, is actually perfect.
@snoflysse88443 жыл бұрын
Luigi, Lara's native language IS Italian. Lara's mom was a full blooded, native Sicilian, born and raised in Sicily. Even thou she was born in Etterbeek, Belgium, Lara spent the first six years of her life in Catania, Sicily with the Italian side of her family . Italian was the first language that she heard and learned, the language of all the lullabies she heard from her mom and her nonna. The language of all her early childhood, the language of her childhood friends, the language of music and culture that she soaked up in the most formative years of her life. When Lara was six years old her dad, (a French speaking Belgian musician who fallen in love with a Sicilian beauty and learned Italian and even moved the family to his wife's homeland when Lara was born) took the family back to Belgium, Lara was so upset that she refused to speak French for weeks. So, by blood, by mother's milk, by her upbringing she is as Italian as you can be. She always says that she feels Italian deep in her soul in so many ways. Btw, her husband is a full blooded native Italian as well.

Lara is the only singer who gives me a strong ASRM response. Her voice's power and control literally sends chills all over my body when I listen to her. The most beautiful voice I have ever heard. You are right it is quite a shame is is not better known in the USA. Something happened with Sony when she launched her album there. I don't know what it is but she knew it would not work the moment the album was released. I believe they did not want her to steal sales from an other one of their artists... I wonder who that could be. Because let's face it, people with that level of talent and skill can be counted on one hand.

Her facial expressions, the look she has, as much for the camera as for the spectators, make her even more beautiful. She is certainly one of the best in the world to deliver so much emotion in a song. For several years she has worked with the famous pianist Igor Krutoy with whom she composed the lyrics of MADEMOISELLE HYDE, IN A MAGNIFICENT PERFORMANCE. Lara Fabian was very well trained by the best opera teachers from Belgium and Italy, but she decided to sing pop songs, she also has the knowledge to sing in operatic way, she studied from her 8 to 18 at the Belgium Conservatory of Music (there she learned Bel Canto, piano [she composes her own songs on piano)... Then since 1998 she kept having vocal lessons with her Italian teacher untill nowdays, she has two vocal teachers (From Belgium and Italy) and she keeps having vocal lessons at least 3 times per week on-line. Lara also workz as a vocal coach on The Voice Canada, she already worked as the vocal coach at the Star Academy program in France from 2004 /2008. Please react to Lara Fabian - Llora live in Kremlin 2010 (Llora means cry in English) Thank you.

When Lara sings you are captured and you almost forget to breath. She is excused for the off pitched at 1:47 because it doesn't matter when someone delivers emotion in what they do. I notice through all songs i've heard with her, here and there that she can be a little out of pitch, so maybe it's the emotion that sometimes "comes in the way" of the technique, I don't know. My point though is that someone can sing technically perfect without sending out anything more than, look at me, how brilliant I'm singing. So I prefer a true communication even if it's sometimes isn't totally on pitch. It may sound picky because she is really a master even to pitch notes, especially without vibrato. So it's not to degrade but to lift what's really important for me. Great reaction, great Lara! ❤

Hi again, dear Christi! 16:15-ish, she sings: "And now, what remains from our time together?" (She frouns her forhead)/"A lady way too much alone that still loves you". So beautiful! I'm not a native italian speaker (formally I don't even speak italian) but I understand pretty much everything because I hear a lot of italian music and videos and my language (portuguese) is very similar to italian, so I understand. If you want I can translate it to you (Google translator is garbage)

I have another recommendation of one of Lara’s performances for you, it’s a pretty recent one from 2017. “Je t'aime” is a song that you’ve reacted to before, but in this performance - unlike the one you reacted to before - she actually sings the whole song herself ;) Plus it’s a great showcase of Lara’s longetivity, she can still sing as good as she used to The link is kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJy1oIJtl7qnfMU Thank you for doing what you do!

Translated lyrics Losing the love = Perdere l'amore And now, leave everybody I want to be alone With the melancholy Flying in it's sky I never asked who you were Why you chose me Me, who until yesterday Believed I was a king Losing the love, when the evening comes When the hair, a bit of silver, colours it You risk going crazy, your heart can break Losing a woman and wishing to die Let me scream, deny heaven Stone all the dreams still on the wing I will make them fall, one by one I will break the wings of destiny and I will have you close to me However, I understand you And I admit I was wrong I made your choices Who knows, what I was claiming And now what remains Of all our time together Is a alone woman Who still cares for you Losing the love, when the evening comes When upon the face there's a wrinkle that wasn't there before You try to reason, you make yourself indifferente Until you realize that you were of no use to anything And you wish to scream, to suffocate the sky To hit the head thousand times against the wall To breath deeply her pillow To say that it's all destiny's fault if I haven't you next to me Losing the love, damned evening That picks up the pieces of an imaginary life You think that tomorrow is a new day But you repeat: "I wasn't expecting it" (I will) Stone all the dreams still on the wing I will make them fall, one by one I will break the wings of destiny and I will have you close to me Losing the love

Draw your finger around the rim of a stemmed crystal glass and you will get something like the flawless ringing tone of Lara Fabian's voice.

One thing about her breathing is that she takes advantage of the full time available between phrases, inhaling linearly thru that time, getting just the amount of air needed for the following phrase.
