That background color is so yummy! I would never have thought of a pthalo blue/indigo as a background for the green and purple but it's perfect!

In love with backlit flowers, kids, or animals. They are so fun to paint and quite striking. Using frisket makes it so much easier to accomplish.

I pour a small amount of masking fluid into medicine bottle caps. When I'm finished, I pour the remainder back in the bottle. My masking fluid lasts longer without getting gummy from exposure to the air. I usually just toss out the cap.

Cool suggestion to use the picks. Also, that's not an eraser; it's a rubber cement pickup. :)

Really nicely done!! Never tried a pen for frisket-what nib are you using for those intricate lines? Thanks for a lovely vid.
@thewatercolorclassroom-bec70402 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. It has the number 22 on it. It was the second to smallest one they had except the really tiny nibs that don’t have a split down the center. That split allows you to get varying sizes on lines by pushing harder. I did water down my frisket just a tiny bit. Hope it goes well for you!!

I saw a tutorial that said dip old brush in drop or 2 of dawn so as not to gum up the brush
@thewatercolorclassroom-bec7040 Жыл бұрын
I have tried that (out with bar soap) but did not love how thick the frisket was on the paper even with a tiny brush. It did help save the brush though.
