We were just in Germany and I used the DB app too. It was very convenient. Thanks for answering the question about tips for "free walking tours". We did one in Amsterdam and gave 10 euros each and I wondered how that compared to someone else. We also used the SBB rail app in Switzerland too. You can buy some saver fares using the SBB app which can save a lot of money but you have to take specific trains which does reduce the flexibility. You can get them the day before travel.

I've had a 4 wheel bag for a couple of years and they are easier to move, although you do have to lift them up stairs etc. Welcome to the 4 wheel club :D

I just tuned into your channel after watching the crossover with Kara & Nate and Endless Adventure, and not only is the first video I see on your channel about my home city of Cologne, but at 8:11 it's the ACTUAL HOUSE I used to live in for several years until just last year before moving to the outskirts of the city.

The traditional Flammkuchen is the onion and bacon one. It's what you'd expect ordering one without any added words. The others are modern variations, but those aren't as common as with Italian pizza. Most variations are local ones instead of ones being created just for taste Cologne cathedral wasn't finished until the late 19th century. They stopped building after 200 years, but at that time the towers weren't finished. For centuries there was even a crane left on one of the partial towers. Some say it's never finished as it needs constant renovations

You probably confused IC with ICE. IC stands for InterCity, that is the train you took. It is slower, but cheaper and has more frequent stops compared to the ICE.

When you get a pizza in Italy it is made in an oven of stone with wooden fire and the name is still a pizza, and usually it is the edges that are crispy and the middle is soft. Maybe they have made their own version where you got your slice and therefore made their name. How did you enjoy the travel in the train? What is your experience of travelling with train?

200 years? It took over 600 years to complete Cologne Cathedral. They started in 1248 and it was completed in 1880. OK, there was a hiatus of 300 years between 1528 and 1823 which marks the time between the decline of the Hanseatic League and the Rhineland becoming Prussian.

I guessed correctly the friend that you were meeting right away. Did you get to go all the way to the top of the Cologne Cathedral? That was the only cathedral that I climbed all the way to the top of, many steps. Are you going from Koblenz to the headwaters of the Mosel? Enjoy the wines native to the Mosel valley.
