Definitely going to give this one a go, I like that style. One thing I have started doing is instead of preshrinking my cord before doing everything, I now shrink after creating whatever it is I am creating. In this case, I would make the bracelet a little large, usually about a 1/2 inch larger than what I would wear, and then when complete, soak it in super hot water, not so much boiling, and then let it air dry over night. It tightens everything up, and in the case where the slack was a little loose, it would be nice and tight in the morning. Thanks for this tutorial, great job!

Awesome bracelet! what I did find useful, but it changed the original bracelet a bit to rid the problem of the feed loop loosening due to excessive use was to add a slide knot between the stop knot to it and it worked super on it. It rid the problem of it loosening on you.

I need help on last part where u pull the top loop to make the bottom 2 loops tighter the top loop gets too big and my knot isnt be enough as the top hole its really big or... Even if i get the right size knot when its on my wrist and the knot starts pulling the hold it gets bigger ?

I switched completely from knot and loop to the Mad Max style. It's a lot easier to put the bracelets on and off and you can make a bracelet for a friend or family member without measuring. But it is a great video

I realize this is a couple of years old but still a great video! Some have complained of the zoom depth but you only need to focus on the point you are currently working. Only recommendation is at the beginning with the initial knot, use a small piece of scrap folded in half that you can tighten like crazy and leave to the end. Then when you finish (especially if you don’t have a fid) singe your bracelet ends to the scrap and pull it right through nice and tight!!
@TheWeaversofEternity7 жыл бұрын
Hey Chad, thanks for the comment! And yes that's a very good tip about using a small piece of paracord to tighten down the first knot. Thanks for sharing that!

I have been making the standard Solomon knot mad max style. The excess that you adjust to tighten on your wrist, do you let in just hang there, or do you tuck yours in?
@TheWeaversofEternity9 жыл бұрын
+PsychoDemonify I just let it dangle there. But I've worn it tucked into the bracelet as well before.
@PsychoDemonify9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. I actually started adjusting mine where it is pretty hard to get on, but once its their it's loose. There's no excess hanging that way.

Could one use this method to conceal a steel ring, even if not for wearing?
@TheWeaversofEternity8 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by that. Like you want to have a ring on the bracelet? Or you want to be able to take your ring off and then attach it to the bracelet?
@SolidSmud8 жыл бұрын

@TheWeaversofEternity8 жыл бұрын

Very easy to follow instruction! My question is, given i do not have a mans wrist on hand to measure on, how many inches of cord is left when you pull it through the loop before making the end knot?
@TheWeaversofEternity8 жыл бұрын
It depends if you want a short cord when pulled through I think the minimum is about 2 inches or so. Any less and it will be really hard to get the bracelet over your hand.

Hey! Thanks for this tutorial. :D I bought some paracord a while back and the tutorial that came with it wasn't exactly helpful (illustrations were botched, I think, or I'm just a bit stupid...). I used to do a lot of macramé years ago, but have never attempted this knot before, and only ever used hemp, which of course isn't as useful or sturdy. That being said, I found this easy to pick up, and am pleased with the result. I really like the look of this design, prefer it over the cobra one (mainly because that was what I mainly used to do back in the day), and it feels more flexible on the wrist. :)
