I had the privilege to see AIC in Sept 2023 in Highland, CA and Jerry at the Greek in Sept 2024!! Both shows were epic!! Hope to see him again soon. I would love to see "I Stay Away" live. It's so crazy there's no footage of Layne singing the song

Good interview. I like to hear JC’s thought process. I’m not far behind him in age, and admittedly, I’ve “downshifted”, no more running around the country living in hotels for me, just can’t do it, yet there goes JC, creating, promoting, playing, touring, singing, and even VIP packages (which I never heard of before Jerry). I think Jerry is extraordinary. I’ve listened to the new album and songs, and I like what I hear

He's had VIP packages in the Brighten era as well which I'm forever thankful for as I got to meet him after all those years (been a fan of him since Facelift).

@@tomnjer that’s very cool! I think I’d be too nervous and probably be awkward so I’m not sure I’d go to one. I actually fly to LA this week and I’ll have the opportunity to meet some people I admire and I’m not even sure I can do it (authors).

Great interview; interesting take on the set list thing - I stopped paying money to see them live because their set lists basically haven’t changed in over 15 years. 🤘🏻

I dont know Jerry personally, but I do know him on a personal level through his Music. Every song is a part of him, and when you not only listen, but hear the music, message, its easy to see how he exposes his soul for all to see.

I will always love Jerry Cantrell, but crafting setlists is the weakest, laziest part of his game - particularly during his solo tours. Way too much catering to the casual fan with the radio hits we've all heard ten million times before. How about throwing us diehards a bone with some deep cuts once in a while? I think it would be very rewarding and memorable to hear some hidden gems like Chemical Tribe, Locked On, Pro False Idol, and Siddhartha (just to name a few). I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
