I agree with Lotti or however his name is spelled. The original 1954 is the original and it’s authenticity will always make it the best. But Shin was my new favorite over that. They made that one feel authentic by relating the sentiments to Fukushima. But this is my new favorite Godzilla film. Best movie ever. No notes

I personally think the original 54 version is still the best and shin was amazing despite what some people said in this comment section, the meaning behind shin and godzilla himself and what the creators behind shin where going for and the symbolism was good imho, i like shin godzilla a really good monster movie and may not be the best but a really solid movie, minus one is also really good and some of the best godzilla films

Powerful movie, didn't honestly expect much from it but it delivered a real true cinematic experience that i can't wait to experience again when it releases on Blu-ray

Shin is an interesting take, and fascinating movie. But to say that shin as a film is anywhere even approaching minus one is fucking lunacy. Minus one is flat out spectacular on every level

I've seen the film on Dolby the first daty it was released in US. This blew me away i have watched it twice. I told my co-workers to see it.

I can’t believe Shin Godzilla is even in the same conversation with minus one. I saw shin Godzilla a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was terrible because of the effects. plus I really wasn’t too invested in the characters. This one fired on all cylinders. I’ve already seen it three times. I love it so much.

Shin Godzilla was an absolute smash, hugely popular with audiences and critics. Plus it objectively was better than every other Godzilla film released in between 2016 and now (KOTM, GvsK, that awful 9 hour netflix anime trilogy) so even if you didn't rate it, the assessment that minus one is the best since shin still stands.
