The bengals unlocked something inside ms marvel, and amplify power when using them. I’m sure if Carol wore a time stone style necklace with the tesseract in it she’d be more powerful too

It's one of the best Marvel movies out of phase 4. That's not a high bar, but 'The Marvels' definitely clears it. All this rhetoric about 'The Marvels' being THE WORST comic book movie when 'The Flash' came out the same year is mind boggling.

As someone who found the movie highly flawed but ultimately really likeable, I'm glad that there are some online reviewers who didn't approach it with "this is the worst movie ever made, the MCU should be burned to the ground, and Brie Larson should be exiled from all future productions, even community theater, and maybe should have criminal charges brought against her." Because according to the thumbnails on my KZbin recommendations, that's every other review of this movie.

There are people online who hate Brie Larson more than they hate war criminals. You would think she personally burned down their houses and killed their pets the way some folks go on about her.

I watched it with my gf expecting the same, we both regret our ticket lmao. Also it was the first time she didnt like something in the cinema (and she loved captain marvel!)

I honestly thought this was fun and well made. My only issue is that it did feel like scenes were cut to shreds. Like i don't understand why they don't let movies breathe. Its so annoying.

I have to assume that they had a huge musical number planned for Musical Planet that either they cut or couldn't film because of strikes or whatever. Because it's weird to have a Music World as a concept (which was fine - not the most cringe thing ever OMG - so many other things have done musical episodes, even Doom Patrol this season), and not have a single memorable number.

It’s meh, there’s so much opportunity for character development that they missed. But the actors are all great. I feel that Marvel is gonna get better in coming years as they focus more on stories.

I love Marvel movies. Went into this movie hoping to love it. I did not like it. Garbage bag villains, bumbling incompetent Nick Fury, confusing non-consistent power switching uses, bad editing and truly “cringe” moments. Main characters are the saving grace, great bits of acting and action scenes, cinematography is great, and music was epic. But sorry, they fumbled this, worst movie ever.
