Once you've got the whole kit together I'd be interested to see how you harness/mount the armor to the fabric outfit underneath.

Nice solution for floating shoulders. I've been thinking of doing an aluminum plates set for my next mando, but I likely won't be able to get a welding machine. Would durafix rods work, or would that not hold up well enough in the long run, even being just costume pieces? Or should it only be used for certain reasons on cosplay armor?

Plus he's got those little sticky bombs on there, would be awesome to make them functional - in the sense that twisting one would set off a blinking red LED. :D Also boots and there's some pouches and other stuff, will be interesting to see that all come together.

Just curious. Why is it very important that there are no laces on mandalorian costumes?
@AragornElessar11 ай бұрын
There's no laces on the armor in canon. And if someone wants to apply for the mandalorian mercs, details like that are relevant. (For just making your own armor it's up to you).

@@theweldinggeek for less geometricly complex pieces, it might be worthwhile to 3d model them, 3d print them, cast them in a temperature-resistant resin mold, then fill the mold with the aluminum. Just a thought! Love the Mandalorian videos 😁

How much do they weigh? I'm curious what a full suit would weigh in at :)

It’s probably surprising light. The pieces are almost all thin aluminum and when you spread the weight of it all across your body, it’s probably not that arduous to cosplay and troop around in.
