Boon was such an original, tasteful and very soulful player...and he had this amazing fluid style with this gorgeous "watery" tone if that makes any sense. His tone here reminds me a bit of Claptons live at the Fillmore tone with Cream and maybe some surfing with the alien Satch too? None of the subsequent Level 42 players came close , IMHO, to "that unique vibe and sound" with all due respect, propers and appropriate nods to the late great Alan Murphy(RIP), Jakko, the Colossal Holdsworth(RIP)and Nathan King.
