SoCal guy, enjoyed this one. Took two sessions and 6 coors lights but real good. Thanks Micky. I’m also a big cyclist so appreciate some of his journey. Great work guys, we’re enjoying these

27 minute mark. Agree with Ping about the new motocross track trend of sx style of jumps. Most of the older crowd that has to go to work in the morning to pay the bills don't necessarily want 100' do or die triples. I'd be down with it if I still lived with Mom and Dad, haha. Big jump tracks scare off the newbies also, and we need new riders!

@@EarthSurferUSA I was just referring to the local motocross tracks around the country, not professional supercross. Those guys are on a different level than most of us.

We need some vet tracks! Or some true natural terrain tracks. Sx is a different sport imo

I grew up in Woodland Hills. I had numerous tracks i cut in , in the local hills all thru out the 70" - 80"s - 90"s in the west end of the San Fernando Valley. I was an Indian Dunes guy - 70"s 80"s and ultimately ventured out to all the So Cal tracks in my late teens and early twenties. I meet many of WT's guest at all the So Cal tracks , and it was true "AMERICANA" at its finest. What a time to be alive !!! I have a suggestion for a future guest - - - "Jack Barbacovi" of CRC fame. Jack would have stories about soooooo many MX hierarchy , and Jack is the salt of the earth. You guys do a great show.

Mid 70's Maico's are the narliest, coolest dirt bike ever, when they ran. They'd come with sand still stuck to castings and the welds on the gas tank weren't filled. Total focus on purpose. Big Sandy, MT Hillclimbers loved them.

Thanks Ping for saying something about the groomed tracks. The old Montana track in 70's were rarely graded. Rough. Some bad designs though, bad jumps. How in the hell did you make in National Motocross coming from Montana? I live in Havre, Montana.

Remember him at saturday SMX (Saddleback motocross), LONG motos is why we were there, he wore a sweatshirt at times when it was hot, I figured it must've been testing fitness, so I followed suit seeing if I could take the heat. Was the mispelling of his name on the screen under "episode 12" intentional?

When Micky was talking about the end of '87 before going to Yamaha, I felt like maybe he would have talked about getting passed over for the second year in a row for the MXDN when they chose Bob Hannah over him. I wish he would have brought it up, or GL or Ping would have asked him about it. Oh well! As Ricky Carmichael would say "It's history."

It was unintentional he got lucky he shouldnt get penalized

Ping, langston, Webb totally gaind an advantage. Look at where he landed, he cut off part of the track he had to travel. If he would have landed 5 feet to the his right he wouldn't have been able to make the pass. Yes, There wasn't intent, but the rule doesn't just applies to where there is intent or not.

Too much pot has ruined your memory Mickey. Maico never made a 450, Bradshaw raced a WR 500 in the nationals, and Honda employeed Jeff Leisk in '88 as a team mate to RJ in the 250/500's............you got his old seat at Yamaha remember?
