I've had 6 NARS palates in my inventory for awhile. I got them out to list, and I was heartbroken. I'm glad it's fixable, but I'm irritated about the time and stress I've gotta spend on high end product.

I think NARS make their packaging for the cooler West European climate. Here in Australia we can get 44C days and my NARS makeup cases practically melt. :-(

OMG girl seriously they melt?! That's a major OUCH for NARS? Is it hard to deal with? Fortunately in Singapore it's also hot & humid all year round but my makeup rarely melt.

Yes, the makeup case gets tacky and sticky, even ones I haven’t used yet! It’s definitely not due to usage, they just get soft in the heat. Maybe we should just store Nars compacts in the fridge. 😬

I had this problem with a lot of high end packaging...NARS, Smashbox, Kat Von D, etc, It's so nasty. yuck

Does it have to be that specific oil or can it be any oil?? Also what does the oil do for the packages ? Btw love the video and excited to try this out on my mars makeup :)

hi! i remember trying baby oil and it didn't do much. the sunflower oil still works best for this, at least from my experience. the oil is like a 'finisher' (if that makes sense) as it makes it shiny/glossier even... makes it look like new again and becomes smoother too! hope it works for you love!!! thanks for watching! xo

Crazy packaging flaw. I have new ones in box from years ago and they still got sticky... although not as bad as I’d they sat out. I wish you can clean it and keep the matte finish
