I kinda forget that people that don’t speak Russian don’t understand the lyrics of the chant at the start and in the middle where it repeats. That whole section is very cool and very clearly audible and comprehensible as far as enunciation goes. To loosely translate the lyrics of the chant at the start: You only understand… (pause) The language of the sword, so… (pause) Let the blood flow…(pause) x2 Let my tongue; boneless, become… (minipause) Iron, so that we may speak…(pause) So that we may speak. You only understand… (pause) The language of the sword. The rhythmic structure is not maintained through the translation, doing that would require deviating from the literal translation of the lyrics. Having looked at the lyrics the song seems to focus on matters of war, untold bloodshed that it causes and how needless it is. In that context I really like the metaphor / imagery used in the way the phrase “you only understand the language of the sword” and “let my tongue; boneless become Iron.” I think this is alluding to the way conflicts escalate to violence when diplomatic communications fail, and comments on the “eye for an eye” paradigm of justice and how it only leads to escalating violence. Pretty cool song all in all.

One thing I love about Alex's voice that's unique is how fucking LOUD he is when he screams. A lot of people when they scream aren't actually that loud, they're pretty much at normal speaking volume (maybe slightly louder). Alex has been doing a thing on tour where he'll sing without a mic in the quiet part before the breakdown, and you can hear him quite clearly in the back.

I'm glad you said you don't listen to metal as much and why. Tatiana from Jinjer also played the "Man or Beast" game for Revolver that you did and when she didn't know the band they played because she said she's "not into death metal" some people in the comments were surprised or even rolled their eyes over it. I don't think some music fans get that the people who make a living making music in a genre can't listen to that music the way the fans do. Otherwise all the music in that genre would sound the same.
