This line up is just full of WOW. Billy Sheehan is a master of Bass, Mike Portnoy is a Monster on drums, and Richie Kotzen does a astounding job of double duty with guitar perfection, and powerful, soulful vocals. Just so full of WOW!

All 3 of these guys can shred like no one's business. It's the fact that they can hold back and stay melodic that makes this band awesome.

Sensational! Mike Portnoy is an amazing drummer! Who has not lived the shadow of Dream Theater, but the opposite, a leading progressive metal bands in the world who lived with a great creative contribution of the MP! The Mangini plays a lot, but the creative mind and the charisma of Portnoy are missing! You see his creativity and Billy Sheehan at The Winery Dogs with a smart music, showing that Mike does not need 30 drums to show what he can! Billy has a lot of reference from Mr. Big, but has a lot of Steve Vai on the songs too! The work these guys are amazing! Please, when you come to Brazil, do not forget to come to Curitiba - Paraná! I'll be in the front row to watch you!

Diamond Dust It's not about a "childish flame war", or a X vs. Y championship, is just about Eric Martin have more sing technics and range than Kotzen... Kotzen is not a bad singer because that. But, well your argument was too strong, I'll shut up right now!
11 жыл бұрын
Siriusblck3 You clearly didn't listen to Richie solo stuff... Just watch "Richie Kotzen Vocal Range" video and listen to Mr.Big lives where they both sing live. He has more power and an incredible range and control. The only difference is that Richie is as good vocalist as he is a guitarist, bassist, keyboard player, writer and even an awesome drummer. :)

Об уровне исполнительского мастерства, здесь даже не хочется и говорить. Он запредельный. Один из лучших басистов планеты Билли Шиэн (Mr.Big, Niacin, The Winery Dog) демонстрирует на своей Ямахе удивительную технику. I think, we already have awesome DT albums recorded with Mike and we can enjoy them endlessly. I think Mangini is very good in DT now, but I also think it's also a good idea to search for something new and create a new sound, not being stuck in one geanre. Mike is awesome for being honest to himself and doing what he wants todo and not what he isexpected to do. Any project he is in is awesome. Yes, I miss the old DT sound. But, it's life. It changes and we get more stunning shades and sounds out of this change.

Don't even bother to reply. There are 'old-stuff-about-DT-crying' fans everywhere when one the former/current DT member(s) is/are involved ... and it's so freaking upsetting. If you don't like what they do now, listen to what they did then. PUNTO E BASTA. People are so lame it's scary.

Mike B Are you kidding me? New DT songs have so much complex song structure.I am not talking about drums though but the chord structure is quite complex of new DT than this
@lobsterclown52245 жыл бұрын
@@MikeB-oo9bj you're idiotic. Weird time signatures and fast drums doesn't mean amazing music. These three musicians are way better together than dream theatre ever was, richie is a ridiculously good guitarist and an incredible singer, Billy is probably the best bassist in the world right now, and Mike is a great drummer with great time and style, just because he's not in dream theatre anymore doesn't mean you have to get all bent out of shape about it and bash whatever he's doing now, write something that these three couldn't play and then come back to trash talk
