Tarja was more interested in starting her own solo career and her husband/manager represented her in negotiations - she nearly lost the direct communication with the band. The way she was fired was very stupid though. What comes to Anette, she got pregnant in the middle of a world tour and then refused to accept a normal maternity leave and a substitute while she would not have been able to do the gigs herself, but she asked the band to postpone them. She would've had to take sick leaves several times too, so it would surely have been better for her to stay safely at home anyway, instead of travelling long ways. She could have come back after maternity leave, but she messed up the things for herself.

+SageFox a lot of female singers are sopranos. Floor actually is to. Soprano has nothing to do with opera. Soprano means you can reach very high notes. Like Tarja can. But Floor can too. I for example cannot. I'm a mezzo-soprano. Soprano, mezzo-soprano, alt they are terms that are used to point out the vocal range. But soprano doesn't necessary means you sing like an opera singer. In operas soprano's are most common because of their high range of notes. And yeah Tarja could sing like she was singing an opera. But every voice is unique. And Floor's soprano voice is beautiful in her own unique way. She fits in better in this genre than Anette did but I don't "hate" Anette because she also had a wonderful voice. But her voice just didn't really belong to this genre I feel. Floor's voice does. And I love her voice just as much as Tarja's voice but both in their own unique way. If you only like Tarja's voice quit complaining. She has gone solo so you can still listen to her if it's all about the voice to you!!!

Hopefully he'll be back, but I doubt it. Once you hop off the Nightwish carousel, there doesn't seem to be any getting back on. Anette left temporarily to be a mom, but Floor then replaced her permanently. Jukka left for health reasons and had the same thing happen. Shame because Marko is an amazing vocalist.

I saw them live like... 2005? The thing I remember the most about that show was just what an incredible sweet heart Marko was. Tarja was kinda quiet between the songs and didn't really interact with the audience at all but Marko, he was just all over the place, sang dumb songs with us and shit. It was amazing and now I'm sad I don't get to see him live again

With Floor I believe the band can do much better,Tarja is unique and great but because of this she also restricted the band's craetivity. Anette has a powerful voice but without the "Nightwish" technique.She was kinda suck when she sing "Tarja's songs".Floor has opera technique and a very powerful voice. She can sing every Nightwish's song perfectly. I believe she is indeed the perfect match for the band really looking forward to their next album!!!

I sincerely believe that, after years with Anette, one could easily create a good judgement of Nightwish's next vocal. Tarja was a great vocalist, and still is. Floor's voice is not the same as her's, is a great voice as well and it fits the band's music. I can not ask for much else.

In this performance we can feel how FULL her voice is. It is just amazing. It fills your very soul. I love Tarja, and there are a couple songs that I prefer in her interpretation, but one cannot be compared to a Force of Nature! Floor Jansen is the best singer in this planet. Kudos to Nightwish for giving us both.

I bet that night was easily in the top 10 best moments of those people's lives that were blessed to have experienced such an experience live. Like wow... Floor is just on a whole new level. Like out of this world level. I can't not play this without just cranking it to the max. Marco was amazing too. He hits it just right. Just pure eargasmic and it only gets better as the song goes on.

I had a deep feeling of regret and sorrow when Tarja left Nightwish... I almost gave up listening to nightwish... Anette did not manage to alleviate this sorrow at all... but Floor, oh my God, Floor she brought joy to my heart! She seems to me the perfect singer to continue where Tarja left off (notice: to continue, not to replace). I'm actually looking forward to hear her singing as the personal touch she brings is fantastic and, as I said, she can continue along the path Tarja walked without any problems... All this time I was expecting someone to replace and sing exactly as Tarja did, but oh my God, how Floor proved me wrong!

I was big fan of Nightwish back with Tarja, she was very unique and special. Although, I must admit that this is the best Nigthwish in their history. Esta mujer es increíble no solo puede cantar a lo Tarja si no que puede hacer lo que quiera con su voz.... Alejandro Gil Es verdad que esa versatilidad que tiene Floor la hace perfecta para Nightwish ya que es mucho mas completa que Tarja y Anette... pero por favor no compares a Floor con Tarja en el "tono operístico" como tu lo llamas porque no hay comparación... Bueno no puedo dar mucho argumento con respecto a lo que a tono opera se refiere, asi que ahí te daría la razón, a mi oido me gusta mas el tono opera de Floor, pero profesionalmente no sabría decirte, seguramente Tarja lleve esa ventaja, asi que ahí como no podría decirte si es asi o no..seguramente tengas razón, no por nada me gusto Nigtwhish me llamo la atención la voz de Tarja, pero a su vez también conocía after forever, y si escuchar bien ( que seguramente los hiciste) esa banda que ya no esta mas, Floor ahí da sobradas prueba de su capacidad operística, pero mas haya de todo eso.. Las dos merecen mi total respeto y admiración. Y me pone feliz saber que Floor Jansen a quien considere siempre la mas perfecta combinación de voces para el metal, este ahora con una enorme banda como es Nigtwhish... así que al menos en eso estaremos de acuerdo , Ahh y soy Argentino y conoci a Tarja una encantadora mujer y con su propia banda esta cambiando su estilo de canto y mucho.. así que feliz por las dos bandas.. :) saludos
