This is the best cover of deep purple lazy that I've ever heard. Every musician plays as part so well and that Hammond organ he beat the hell out of that thing and then bringing Jimmy Barnes to sing you ain't getting no better than that.

Bonamassa and his bandmates are just at the top of the tree when it comes to musicianship, Then Jimmy Barnes comes along and kills the vocals. OUTSTANDING.

Back in the 1970's I could go down to my local pub and for 5 bucks cover charge, see Jimmy Barnes (the singer) and talented musicians like this, belt out fantastic rock for 4 hours. . And get totally drunk at the same time. . Hot, sweaty, LOUD and WILD! That was the pub music scene all over Australia at the time. . . Lots of legends of Aussie rock did their time and earned their fame back then. .

I believe that both this cover of Lazy and their video of Stone Cold were both recorded and filmed in Joe’s personal recording studio with his “ house” band. Yes folks...... Joe Bonamassa has his own private recording studio and house band. He also has a guitar ranch...... a retreat / school were he teaches guitarists and others how to play the blues . A conservatory of blues with bush college location and big city amenities. lol

Nope no house band. Just some very talented people from around the world. Jimmy barnes aint know house band singer my friend . i believe this was actually filmed and recorded in Sydney Austrailia.

Glad you liked it. Great isn't it? Superb musicians all. I know you've reacted to several more Cold Chisel/Jimmy videos since this one so you are well aware of what he can do. On Jimmy's "screams" - in a fairly recent TV interview Jimmy was asked what he did to warm up before singing. He immediately let out a prolonged scream. Then said that he did that for about an hour or so before each show. That was his warm up.
