For me Shinedown and Alter Bridge are 2 of the most important rock bands of the last 20 years. Brent Smith and Myles Kennedy are vocal powerhouses.

100% CORRECT!!! I have LOVED BOTH BANDS SINCE ‘03 for Shinedown and when AB rose from the ashes of Creed!! I loved Creed but being an Atheist like Myles Kennedy I relate a LOT MORE to him!! HE AND BRENT ARE UNBELIEVABLE TALENTS. They BOTH helped me through some tough deployments and times!! I recommend checking out “Shinedown in my House” videos on KZbin when they did Fly From The Inside and Shed Some Light I got choked up. They did 4 songs and I think the channel is Patrick something……2 more vocalists I would put up there with them are: Aaron Lewis of Staind and Jesse Hasek of 10 Years

Myles has more range but Brent's voice is more versatile. They are the best. Corey Taylor is up there too.

Each part of the video, they had their own monster.. The lead singer his monster is his past addiction, the little girl, her monster is her abusive grandfather and the widow had an affair when her husband was redeployed and was killed. Her monster was guilt. Powerful video, message and vocals.

Don’t forget the main one, which brings the whole story together. The soldier, you know, a terrible situation that affects so many soldiers when they come home. That’s kinda why the burial was during the first verse.

Seen them in November over here in the UK I’m lucky enough to have seen them 30 off times and they just keep getting better and better. It’s been great to see their rise in popularity over here, first time I seen them was in a 250 capacity venue and now they are playing our big arenas.

Shonedown is the shit. Saw them in Nashville at LP field (Titans stadium) in 2010 with my wife. Thunderstorm hit that evening. Papa Roach 4 songs bounced. Seether 6 songs bounced. Shinedown said eff thunder and did about a 3 hour set. Saved that show

This is off of the Attention Attention album, which was produced by the band's bassist (Eric Bass), who also produced their latest album, Planet Zero. For Attention Attention, they did videos for every song and put them in movie form.

I don't know what references you had at beginning as to what the song is about cause it's about sex abuse and molestation. And redemption

The intro to the song doesnt show that at all. To me it instantly looked like she was cheating on the dead marine and the man that touched her shoulder was the affair partner, it was only made more literal with the later scenes.
@bigmike9612 Жыл бұрын
She basically was cheating on her husband while he was deployed and then he died serving his country. That's more likely what happened but can't say for sure. He could have died while at home. Still.
