My daughter and I were there at this show. We flew there from Michigan. It was amazing!! The tall 6’1 goddess up top with the 3 back up singers is Irene Jansen (Floor’s sister, then of course you saw Simone, The one with long dark hair was Brittany Slayes from Unleash the Archers, tons more. 19 singers and 8 musicians. We had a blast at this show!!! There were People there from over 60 countries. It’s hard to find the right words to describe those experience 🎼🎤🎶😁😎

This not normal in the real world, but it's normal in Ayreon's universe. And this is just one song.... I was there on saturday evening with my 11 year daughter 🙂. It was her first concert ever. I think it spoiled her forever!

I was also at the concert. This was a live performance of the complete Ayreon album “01011001”. I can’t help but tear up whenever I see Anneke’s fist pump at the end of her solo, she knew she had killed it.

I was there too. I travelled from Chile to Tilburg, 17 hours by plane ti experience that magnificent show. I would do it again because they are so talented and it is a pleasure to have them all together on stage.

Arjen Lucassen, the tall hippy guy who you said was having so much fun, is the writer and brains behind Aryeon. He suffers from incredible stage fright, and so Aryeon concerts are rarer than rocking horse sh*t. He went for 22 years without an Aryeon concert. He uses only the world's best singers and musicians for his albums and concerts, almost always Floor Jansen can be found there. This time round Floor had just had a second child, so wasn't available, so Brittney Slayes (from Unleash The Archers who had sung on another of Arjen's projects - Star One). Each one of the singers/musicians will send you down a new rabbit hole.

The tall guy, Arjen, you realise hes so tall when you see him next to Floor (Universe). Ive pre-ordered my autographed copy of the DVD. another amazing rock opera from Arjen and Joost (keyboard player), what a line up and if Floor is not available you call Brittany. Mike Mills and his impossibly high notes, the velvet tones of Damian. Lets give a massive round of applause to the stagecrew, constructing a stage so strong it can support the weight of this talent.

This was the finale to a concept album, so it had multiple sections that feel like a medley to wrap up the story and of course a big climax with all the featured singers of the entire album/show. This album had never been performed live, so for one magical weekend last september every fan came to Tilburg, the Netherlands to see this once in a lifetime show AND I WAS THERE! \m/

The tall guy, Arjen Lucassen, is the mastermind composer of Ayreon. He rules. This is the very top, the best of the best of progressive rock. It gives you a high. Far better then drugs or alcohol. It lifts your spirit. The composition, the band, all those international absolute best of the best singers, the show ( composed by the girlfriend from Arjen), the storyline from Arjen, the message of hope....it all comes together. In 300 years time, people will still try to re-perform this. This is eternal music. We are witnessing this today. Visiting this concert added five years to my prospective lifespan.

Ayreon is Arjen Lucasens prog rock/metal stories filling up 2 CDs of tracks. In that sense an album is a musical minus the visual coreography. He write the stories and most of the music. He ask musicians to help record his vision and singers to play characters in his stories.

Hahaha! “Sixth Extinction” is English! I was there, too, for the two concerts on Sunday. Also, that wasn’t falsetto for Michael Mills.... This is typical for an Ayreon album. Arjen creates and composes concept albums, and invites guest vocalist from around the world to fit the characters and story, and many of the albums are connected. This was one song, the seventh and final song of the second disc of 01011001 and the fifteenth song of the entire album. There is nothing better than seeing these concerts live.

WH : Who is that keyboards guy? AyreoNauts : Joost some LUL they found in the King's service, writing catchy little tunes.. He's got no ceiling, but solid w/the Floor. That was some incredible modulation he was putting on theose sustained notes with the left-side wheel I didn't see hit hit any presets, but he must have to get some of those voicing changes in the midst of the solos..
