The riffs directly after Hysteria were Heartbreaker by Led Zep then the bridge from Back in Black by AC/DC. Chris Wolstenholme is an incredible bass player for sure! And an idol for me!

The intro to Hysteria (referred to as the Interlude) is a riff on Adagio for Strings by composer Samuel Barber. Bellamy is found of incorporating classical pieces into the Muse mix.

This was the first Muse I’d ever heard, way back in the distant land of 2003. The driving back beat of the drums, the utterly relentless baseline, the heart rending guitar solo, the crispness and range of the vocals...how can you not fall in love?

Always appreciated Muse and their musicality intensity sound energy passion groove originality and on and on . The drummer is left handed . The bass is on fire . Fills with triplets 10'30" . The voice is a trademark Suzi . Travis you are right the sound of the bass is very cool although the bassist plays in a classic way . In some parts he use a pick (plectrum) and he does some pickings like a guitarist , maybe . 8'35" We are going to African Rhythms . The jamming moment is on point ! What sounds . They seem to swich on polyrithms . Travis i like a lot your lower tone when you speak with intensity ! It's fricking spectacular !

never can go wrong with MUSE, since they are my absolute faves I just recommend their whole discography! Oh and you mentioned that they almost make it sound like a synthesizer , you should listen to Unsustainable by them , it is basically Dubstep on guitars
