Hello from northeast Ohio. I was actually listening to this live on the radio as it aired around the world. August 1989, I'll never forget it. The who's who of hard rock bands were there. I was nearly 16. It was an amazing time to be a young American. Cheers!

Years ago I was at a concert. Dio opened, then the Scorpions and the Deep Purple. The Scorpions blew the other two away. Great show

Love that you reacted to an older song of theirs. Winds of Change was so much later in their career. Their early albums are so damn good. Another Piece of Meat, Blackout, and I Can't Get Enough are just a few of my faves. I've seen them at least once in every decade. They still put on a hell of a show

Saw this band in the 70s the drum kit was set up on the back of à huge scorpion with réd lights for eyes and it came down from above to sit on the stage while the drummer was playing , 😮❤

I love Scorpions....Saw them live at Monsters Of Rock at Råsunda stadion in Stockholm 23/8-1986 The other bands where : Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, Zero Nine.... It was so amazing 😁😁🤩🤩

From the bands on this bill, Scorps and Cinderella were always the most consistent live Two of the best live rock bands I ever saw. I remember watching this festival on TV in high school when it was live, I think it was pay per view or on MTV. I can't remember. but I remember having to watch it in my parents room cause they didn't want to watch it on the bigger tv in the family room ha. A few years later when i was in the military I went over to Russia and S. Korea, all over that area and I happened to go into a music store and there was a Moscow Peace Festival concert tshirt hanging up, and what do you know it was my size. It wasn't for sale, but money talks and I walked out with that shirt. I have no idea what happened to it, but it was a favorite of mine for quite some time. Cause that show was historical.

I bought the Video Cassettes of the Moscow Music Peace Festival when they came out. My least favorite band that was involved was Bon Jovi, but their performance of Wanted Dead or Alive at that concert was amazing. I’ve loved Richie Sambora’s work ever since. Church it out.

I saw Iron Maiden at a general admission concert in the 80's and the warm up band was Vinnie Vincent Invasion. After VVI played and right before Maiden I was about 6 people from the stage and it was so tight couldn't get my hand in my pocket to get a lighter and as I was looking down I saw one of Vinnies guitar picks on the floor and knew if I went to get it I would never get back up.
