After unlocking the PSO and playing 2A6/7 , I can say that having a 2A7 and a PSO in your line up is amazing. The PSO excels in CQC for me with its short barrel profile and side armour that can dismay flanking auto cannons, along with early game heli rushes thanks to said armour and 50. Cal.

This tank is better than 2A6 imo. More pen doesnt matter since only instance it could be helpful is if you see a K5 soviet mbt at a really high angle. Because 2A6 still cant pen relikt. I can see that composite and hmg being more helpful against helicopters mavericks autocannons and other hydra firing or non tandem atgm vehicles. For example LAV-AD will shred through an unsuspecting 2A6 but this tank can survive it very easily and even return fire with hmg.

The side skirts fall off after a few hits, and while it can come in useful at times, unless the LAV-AD is hitting you in an extreme angle or you can react faster than a rain of 20mm's, it will still get clapped by autocannons side shooting it

Something i've noticed is that for whatever reason the L/44 seems to spall a whole lot more than the L/55, which causes me to do better with the A5 a lot of the time than the A6.

My thoughts on it: Nice to have, definetly wrong spot in the tree, it isnt as bad as people say it is, but not what we needed. I hope for the 2A6EX next Update, Gaijin confirmed a new Leo already and the EX has 1:1 the same armor Package as the Strv 122, so we finally get a german Leo with armor

@@darugdawg2453 US isn't doing THAT bad in top tier, sure it has missing things, badly modeled things and some things even missing, but germany? we waited 3 years for a vehicle that would bridge the gap in capabilities of other top tier vehicles, gen2 thermals for the gunner, proper hull armor, aps even - yet we got none of that. swedish strv 122's are still miles better that german leopards not even mentioning russian mbts...

The upper glacis addon doesn't work by the way. Instead of bouncing shots like on the Strv 122 it actually GUARANTEES penetration because of how it's modeled. So it's literally worse than the base 2A5 hull without the armor. Oh and the turret addon composite is MUCH worse than the hull addon for no reason at all.

I noticed this too. It seems Gaijin actually modelled the PSO's upper glacis addon composite with their newer "volumetric armor" instead of their previous armor system. You can tell this because when you hover over the armor, it will say "Armor dimensions at point" instead of "Effective thickness". The Strv 122 has the older armor modelling for the addon composite so this may or may not have something to do with the issue of the PSO upper glacis not ricocheting shells. Also, the base layer of 35 mm RHA underneath the composite armor on the PSO is angled at 81 degrees instead of 82 degrees like on every other Leopard 2 in the game, including the Strv 122s. This may also factor into the equation. Overall, disappointing.

I really like the addition but like the SEP addition I think the required RP is just too much. I grinded SEP then over months by casual playing US without forcing this research and never crewed it because of bad stock grind. Both SEP and Leo PSO are noticeable upgrades over M1A2 or Leo 2A5/6 (the longer cannon is more like a negative for me on most maps because it is harder to hide when ambushing) but the research and especially stock grind is just not worth it. I have still things to research (like now with the heli tree for US and TD line for Germany) and so it isn't important to me. My only fully completed nation (all trees excluding ships) is USSR and even their I didn't crew the T-80UK that could replace my T-80U in 11.7 lineup. Just not worth it.

Nah, absolutely an upgrade over the 2A6. Better defense and the slightly worse offense is very much compensated for by the shorter trunk which means it does much better in close quarters as you don't poke your trunk around corners as much. Very important factor when playing versus skilled opponents in close situations. In your average WT-game with 16 people just storming brainlessly towards each other.. It doesn't really matter of course.

I was always of the opinion that the 2A5 was a perfect enough top tier tank for germany as to how effective it is in its designated role. The A6 was just overkill, but imstill like howmi can go through the frontal plates of russian tanks now. A more logical introduction wouldve been , before we got the 2A5 wouldve been the 2A4 in its 1992 variant, with "C-tech" armor and DM33 and changing the current 2A4 to the 2A1 model to line it up more closer to the us abrams series

About the cas: i circumvent this ridiculous problem by just simply leaving after my first death. I don't see the value in respawning into ka50s and a10s XD let these virgins fly laps around an empty map, I'm not gonna mouthfeed them my silver lions :D If gaijin wanted us to play more than one life they wouldn't have put all the air in tbh

This game is fun….or frustrating depending on which side GAYjin puts you on. I would say 80% of games are a massacre for one side. The other 20% are competitive. I have games where I can get 6-9 kills and other games 2-3 at most. Same tactics and play style. Just crazy!
