Agreed. First ever song I remember hearing was Fasten Your Seatbelts when I was maybe 5-6. Thank you Pendulum for literally changing my music choice, if it weren't for you, I would be listening to Martin Garrix or something.

This is probably the only electronic act from Australia that genuinely makes me proud to be Australian.

The Avalanches?

@@AnimusTheNerd yeah this comment is pretty outdated now, i didn't know the avalanches were australian at the time of commenting and since i left you is one of my favourite albums. i've also discovered some more aussie electronic stuff since then, like Mr. Bill - who is definitely one of the most talented sound designers of today imo, dude's insane - as well as EDDIE, an artist on deadmau5's label mau5trap which ive followed for a while. makes a mixture of progressive house, dark techno and electro house. all pretty solid - and Roland Tings, who makes some pretty catchy deep/outsider house with nice analog synths. also apparently jaytech is also aussie, i don't listen to him that much but he's made some of my favourite tracks off of anjunadeep/anjunabeats. still, there aren't that many electronic aussie acts that i listen to. also there's a few aussie rock/metal/prog acts that i love, like karnivool, king gizzard, plini and psychedelic porn crumpets, so there's that

Fun fact: Rob Swire sang on the group's first ever vinyl-pressed single. His vocals on "Spiral" span most of the song, and predate Hold Your Colour by two years.

Don't worry about the whole The Prodigy thing. I'm a huge Prodigy fan, but I can say I love Pendulum more, mostly because Pendulum was my personal introduction into electronic music as a whole and they will forever hold a special place for me.

I've known about The Prodigy longer though, I just don't listen to them all that often for whatever reason something just kinda feels wrong about saying I like Pendulum more lol

Same goes here, Slam was the first DnB track I ever properly heard as a kid and changed the surface of what electronic music was as I knew it. Hearing it when I was about 10 probably changed the entire genre for me, as I grew and even now as an adult that is still today passionate about and even produces electronic music today. Additionally I always listen back to the this entire album through at least once every 1-2 months just to relive it and I always hear new things I didn't before in different ways. For me this album will probably always be close to a 10/10.

This album is the home to one of the best music videos of all time. Slam. Bloke is going full confidence and having a good time. Letting it all out. He’s still there shuffling and bustling on that corner to this day

This is absolutely my all time favourite album. Have to say this one is more similar to Goldie though, the similarity to Prodigy came with later releases. Very few tracks on this album sound anything like MFTJG, and they're my least favourites, lol. Also much prefer this to anything Prodigy's done, this album is a masterpiece of atmosphere, sound design and layering. Just listen to those background FX on Plasticworld, the intro in Streamline or the breakdown in Fasten Your Seatbelts. Mindblowing.

My brain exploded when I saw the title and thumbnail. I recently bought 3 of their albums (In silico, Hold your colour and Immersion). I have already made a mix on my pioneer cdj-1000 mk3s which is 'ok' I guess but it could have some tweaking.

Yeah, I also listen to a lot of Knife Party. There's just something about Rob Swire that I find so creative and original. I found it quite funny that one of Pendulum's. members was Welsh and I live in Wales so I did some research after this video and found out he used to live only an hour and a half from me. It's also strange that the band is mostly Australian and I lived in Australia for 2 years. CREEPY! But back to the albums and I would say my favourites from the three would probably be: Plastic world, Tarantula, Slam, Fasten your seatbelts, Showdown, 9,000 miles, Mutiny, Propane nightmares, Salt in the wounds, Immunize, Crush, Watercolour and Witchcraft.
