I wish they'd play some of Gerry Love's songs. I know he's not in the band anymore, but his songs are iconic and they're still Teenage Fanclub songs.

Absolutely brilliant band. No matter how big you think they were/are they are still way underrated and it pisses me off.

Norman is a master of melodic songcraft, at least four TFC albums are among my favourite albums ever.

Listening to Norman here, reminds me of when I used to go see him practice in John St. and play in the Hattonrig in Bellshill along with Duglas, the good old days 🤣

I think I saw Teenage Fanclub open for Robin Hitchcock in the early nineties but I might be mistaken. It was at the former Studio 54 in NYC which closed and was turned into a rock club called The Ritz.

Think I first saw The Fannies when they supported The Pixies in Glasgow in 1991. Stuck in my mind because the stage collapsed three songs into The Pixies set and that was that. They didn't reschedule nor were refunds given. Haven't gone to see them or buy another Pixies album since! Teenage Fanclub, on the other hand. I probably like them even more now than then. Particularly the last couple of albums where they have moved very naturally into the sound I think more middle aged musicians should make! Robert Forster is in this category too.

Ah fantastic. Yes, Booker T and the MGs are the greatest band. Yes Terry Hall is, or was, a terrific guy

It's not the same without Gerry Love. Should have changed the name of the band. Geriatric Fanclub would have been a good choice.
