Join us for a mind-bending journey into the hidden universe of fungi.
When we think of fungi, we likely think of mushrooms. But mushrooms are only fruiting bodies, analogous to apples on a tree. Most fungi live out of sight, yet make up a massively diverse kingdom of organisms that supports and sustains nearly all living systems. Fungi provide a key to understanding the planet on which we live, and the ways we think, feel, and behave.
In Entangled Life, the brilliant young biologist Merlin Sheldrake shows us the world from a fungal point of view, providing an exhilarating change of perspective. Sheldrake’s vivid exploration takes us from yeast to psychedelics, to the fungi that range for miles underground and are the largest organisms on the planet, to those that link plants together in complex networks known as the “Wood Wide Web,” to those that infiltrate and manipulate insect bodies with devastating precision.

Indigenous knowledge systems that understand and have witnessed this divorce and disconnection to the land and the planet, continue to be discounted. For example, the Dakota people fighting pipelines, and happening now Water and Land Protectors do everything to get to some understanding of what Enbridge's actions are doing to the land, thus, what we as humans do to the land we do to ourselves. All life is connected. It is an Indigenous knowledge principle of understanding.

Absolutely incredible! I've ordered the book and so excited for the future, working with fungus! I need to keep researching and one day hope to grow my own mushrooms. Truly remarkable!

All people actually, certain tribes have been redirected and diverted for a reason and this includes westerners. We must get back on track or perish.

Kingdoms of Life. I thrill at the idea. It’s happening all around us. And I feel secure and safe. Regardless of fungal promiscuity.Biology seeks flux and then healing, in order to maintain homeostasis and balance.
