Sorry that they gave You the lyrics video as the Animated Story video contains soo much more background info before the song starts and some extra easter eggs in the end.

The animated video is great as well, and it includes a few extras including a brief interview with the twoi gentlemen, and also a brief message from Franz's daughter who discovered the song through her son.

Interesting that this fan made video uses footage from The Memphis Bell movie, but not the footage of them after the other planes had left them. I hope you watch the official Animated Music Video, with an interview of the two pilots and one of their families reaction to this song. Well worth seeing.🤘😆🤘

First, thanks for reacting to my request Eric! 🙏 Really glad you enjoyed it, wanted to provide a Sabaton song that hits deep without making anyone cry. lol For anyone wondering, I chose this video for this track as it was the first one I had seen for this song and brought me to learn about the story. I understand it's not as ideal to others who prefer the animated video version. Also, the animated video is nearly 9 minutes long and I believe the limit is 7 minutes for max video duration. But the footage used mirrors a few details and does go well with the song, well enough that I always get goosebumps when they're approaching dozens of enemies and then they show actual B-17 footage. I haven't been in the room with any guys that flew them, but I've heard their stories on channels like American Veterans Center or New York State Military Museum, some of the things those guys lived through.. Difficult to fathom. Always the utmost respect!! ❤🤍💙 Also, Joakim is pronounced like YO-AH-KEEM (like combining Noah + Akeem). And Pἅr is just pronounced like PEAR, the fruit. And last thing which I just discovered a couple days ago is Sabaton DOES have their own 'Sabaton History' channel here on YT where they go through the stories behind their songs, so if you've never watched those have fun binge watching those in your free time everyone!! 🤘😄🤘

Sorry, but when this is the video that caused you to research the history behind it, you did a pretty bad job, because it´s full of misinformation. With spreading such disinformation you feed the prejudice that Sabaton is glorifying war. After your explanation I think you are the one that glorifys war!

Great reaction ERIC, great reaction....👍👍👍 Think its important to show others that are or had been not involved in those special moments in a world full of violence that there is also another side of mankind........ Sadly only few......but they are.........

Sorry you didnt get the proper version, the animated one. This is just fan made I guess with some random war move clips with no real storytelling connected to the lyrics and, well, story.

What i love about them they dont take sides. They find deep stories from every side and many wars. Is it bravery, showing humanity or exceptional strength. Those happen in every army and no side is just pure evil and Sabaton recognizes it and tells that to rest of us ❤❤

I didn't know anyone that flew B-17's, but I did know someone who was 82nd airborne and jumped Normandy on D-Day, never talked about it, not even to his family. As always, anyone looking for more of the story behind Sabaton's music, check out their history channel.
