Stumbled upon this documentary. I was just 11 when I started listening to The Judds back in 1987, 88 all the way to late 90's. Used to listen to it on my sisters Sony Walkman when I go to school. Memories. 😊😊

I still have my Walkman and cassette IF ONLY we had the option of music at our fingertips then. HOW many hours wasted trying to record from radio and then tape to tape on my huge JJ Walker radio with speakers. Hourz n days to just"click" now in seconds anything you want to hear. Instead of waiting for a release drop date off new record, tape or later CD at THE WAREHOUSE OR MUSIC ➕ PLUS "believe in us" 🤯. No driving getting dressed or waiting to hear your fav 🎵 song on the radio. I was born to early and those born now have no conception or appreciation.

Wynonna’s love for her mother was obvious when she sat next to her during her news conference about retiring. Seems like her mom was the wind beneath her wings. RIP sad her purpose in life was bitter sweet. We need to take mental health seriously and Hepatitis C illness. ❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

My little Momma and I loved them from the start!!! We would put a cassette in and I would sing Y's part and my Momma would sing Momma Judd's part..we seemed to mirror them in our actions and our fierce love for each other!!! Such good memories..Momma would say you can just see the love between them..Momma Judd went home to be with the Lord 4/30/22..I've cried and cried because I too lost my little Momma in 2004..You are never ready to say goodbye..Praying for their family..Lean on your faith and each other..You will make it!!! The Judd's were to be inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame the next day..05/01/22. The girls were there and accepted!!! So strong!!! Momma Judd is the wind beneath their wings!!! Like my Momma is for me!!!

It's amazing how distant they could be towards one another, but when they would perform together their true feelings would come out. They would be so openly affectionate towards each other. It's not it was a show, because they'd shared their relationship when they weren't performing, but it was almost if it was easier for them to open up to each other when they were singing. As a very small child in the early 80s, I was obsessed with the Judds. They performed at a local fair in 85 or 86 with Tanya Tucker. I was like 4 or 5 and my mom took me to see them. I would dance around and sing Momma He's Crazy all the time.

Wow, Ashley sang with them! She's a good actress, but how nice! I want to see "Ruby In Paradise" -- that'd be cool. Wynonna is an amazing singer and guitarist. Their mom was a glamourous, driven woman who always reminded me of a '40s movie queen. But I know the depths you can sink to when depression's got a hold on your soul--and Naomi just couldn't get out of that deep, dark hole. Let's not dwell on that -- let's remember her bright and merry spirit. She WAS the spirit of the Judds, and I cannot imagine what her daughters are going through. May they , her husband, and her family all celebrate the joy they shared, and navigate the seas ahead until they arrive at a place of peace and hope. Time does take the pain away, eventually. But not the love. The love lives on.

Depression hurts ... the long term sadness that leads to hopelessness takes so many from us. I lost my sweet sister five years ago and my life will never be the same. As the depression took it's toll, she slowly sunk into dispair and the pain became too much for her to live with. Those who get left behind, and who have watched the suffering, understand their loved ones desire to stop the pain ... we miss you, your loss is felt so much, but we know that you are no longer hurting, so we accept the pain of losing you and we hold you in our hearts forever and we love you ... Good bye, Sweet Naomi , your suffering is over, you're safe in the arms of Jesus now.

RIP Naomi. “Biography” reported that “only about 10%” of folks who contact hepatitis C, recover. Misinformation. The WHO reports that 30-40% have full recovery without treatment. I’m one of the lucky ones, but I had a good friend who died from HCV complications. Today with new treatments, nearly everyone recovers.

There is something special about young mothers and their daughters. My mom had me at 16 and we also had a love/hate relationship. Maybe this documentary pinned down why, by saying the young mothers development is arrested. This would cause some issues but I’m glad this program showed the strengths of that dynamic.

Five or six years she didn’t feel right. 5 or 6 years? The moment she got the diagnosis she got worse. The depression of knowing sent her in a spiral. Yet she lived 30 more years and did not pass from hepatitis. Just saying. Trauma can send us down a spiral.
@glitchnyrmatrix72963 жыл бұрын
The Judd's were put on this Earth to do what they do. The devil may have perverted it but music belongs to God. When Naomi and Wynonna first step into the studio, a fellow named Don Potter was assigned to produce them. The first thing he did was to join hands with them and pray that God would do what he wanted to do with these two women. There is a believability to these women that you won't find in many superstars. And I believe that believability is the answer to Don's prayer. And Naomi's healing from hepatitis was not some pseudo spiritual thing. Her healing was the gift of the Holy Spirit. And yes God uses things like interferon and doctors. I'm 70 years old now and was in my first band in 1968. Today I play music with my 60-year-old wife who sings and is a bass player. We will never be stars. God still has a plan for our lives. Like Don Potter, I am a prophetic psalmist. Nowhere near Don's pay grade but I know the joy of doing what God created me to do. So, whoever you are and whatever your dreams are, go for it... Even if you're old. Your future is not behind you.

What does this say about the seriousness of the battle fought with mental illness, depression in this case? Naomi had access to the absolute best of every therapeutic approach available. This warrior battled through challenge after challenge, year after year. And, finally, in the end, she didn't have any more to give. God bless her and her family and others like her and their families. May we all be able to bear up under tolls taken by this "messy" (to quote Naomi) life.💔
