I mostly play hardcore, and this is BY FAR my favorite gun. I run the no stock / osw para / stippled grip / sleight of hand. The 1 Shot kill plus the speed from those attachments makes this thing a force to be reckoned with.

The time between bursts is slower than the FAMAS so its less forgiving, but I find with the right attachments to mitigate the recoil its actually more consistent for single bursting opponents. I use the XRK Marksman barrel, Operator Foregrip, Tac Laser, VLK 3.0 optic and burst fire perk. It seems to work really well, with the laser offsetting the ADS penalties from the recoil attachments.

Eric Dai pretty sure getting flashed or stunned deals one damage so you could chuck a flash or stun and then run in and get an easier two shot or go for the funny tactical equipment kill if you shoot them and then they run towards cover

For sure, in Warzone, it's actually a great gun, just not without recoil control (unless you do CQC, but even then, your ADS speed will always be slower than most rifles).

@@HiJack3r With the right recoil and aiming stability attachments (I said aiming stability, because there's actually a big aiming sway that must be dealt with first or else your recoil pattern will be different everytime), it has a pretty decent kick that you can easily control. Its DPS though really depends on just how much you can aim at enemies. It can basically down an enemy in like 4 upper torso shots, because it both tears through the armor and the enemy's health. It's especially good for mid-range fights where you can pre-aim and shoot with less worry. Even in close-range, it's great, but only if pre-aiming is not a problem, because the big headshot damage also downs people satisfyingly fast.

I absolutely love this gun. It's my go to for just about any map. I run a hybrid optic on it and don't use the burst. The delay when using burst absolutely kills me but that's just me. Some people shred with the burst.

I love this in Hardcore game modes. One shot kills. 13" Para barrel, Sleight of Hand, Stippled Grip Tape are on my base to boost aim down sights and speed up reloads. For bigger maps (Aniyah Palace, Superstore etc) i add Monolithic Suppressor and Merc Foregrip to stay off radar and recoil control for the mid to long distance shots. For smaller maps (Rust, Shoot house etc) i add Tac Laser and CQB stock to boost aim down sights time. And my secondary is the 1911 pistol.

I decided to get the attachments for it on double weapon xp and fell in love with the FAL. I smoke guys before they get a shot off. I play hardcore and it’s a one shot kill. Plus using it makes your aim better and when you switch back to a assault rifle you’ll have a lot better head and torso accuracy.

callum I’ve been running the fr 5.56 as well. Really been doing well with it. I’m a rusher so that’s the closest I get to a sniper rifle. This COD is trailer made for the campers. I wish I could play shipment and the warehouse 24/7. I try to stick to domination hoping to have more ppl running around but lately seems every person on the team is carrying a sniper rifle and posting up. I’m usually the only guy running around capturing and whatnot. It’s so irritating. In domination if you sit in one spot for over 60seconds you should automatically die. Or make a mode for rushers and ppl that want to play others that move around.

the fal, due to it lower fire rate and high recoil making it more difficult to apply a fine coating of lead on the battlefield, suffers from poor netcode more than other guns. since its ttk is very fast its even more apparent when someone is eating rounds / the server is cheating you / helping them.

I was absolutely mopped up by a guy using a FAL on Euphrates, so I decided to give it a go and I failed miserably. The FAL might kill fast, but the low fire rate cap and the amount that people bunny hop, jump shot, drop shot and any manner of ADAD spamming means one missed shot during all of that mess and you'll likely lose the gunfight. I've learned so far that I either land my shots and win, or I miss a single shot and die. Great gun when it works! But I think the Oden in semi-auto outclasses it to a certain degree. The FAL is a hidden beast, but you've really gotta have the skill to use it, and I severely lack that. Oddly enough I can use the M14 just fine, so not sure what's going on there.

I absolutelylove this gun.. It's my new sniper as it is lethal, quiet with a silencer and one shot kills for days in HC modes.. I out shoot other snipers with this set up properly with a good scope. Loved it in earlier games, and it's still a great addition for fast kills.

This has been my main gun since launch, and it was awful to begin with, but I stuck with it and it's my favorite gun. I use it for long range, counter-sniping in Ground War. I run a 3x optic, the marksman barrel, the ranger foregrip, the tac-suppressor (just cause it looks better than the mono,, and at the ranges I'm at, three shots is always the standard), and sleight of hand. I love this thing, it's so satisfying to use.

this is my go to gun in warzone... Chuck a sniper scope and a few attachments on it and you can take out snipers really quickly... I dont know what attachments I use exactly but there is no recoil or sway at all and you can shoot really quickly with it

Also something I'd like to mention with the recoil pattern: that's assuming you have a trigger finger that's that fast. if you don't, the center speed will most likely get you right back on target which is why the FAL doesn't have as much recoil as it appears to have in The Recoil pattern unless ofcourse your trigger finger is THAT fast. The center speed should get u back in target and the recoil shouldnt feel that drastic.

the FAL is hands down the best gun for Hardcore. You can put a silencer on and it still one taps. If you build it right, it has virtually no recoil and it is hella accurate and one taps at range, two taps through walls.

I think it's a huge disservice to this gun that you didn't talk about the burst perk. It makes it even faster to kill with the second fastest ttk AR behind the FR but the FAL doesnt drop off in range like the FR does. With its consistent two shot kill, the burst perk makes it a once burst kill at all times if you can control the recoil enough to hit every shot.

When I pick up a green or white FAL in warzone, I pair it with my load out with a FAL with VLK 3 sight light suppressor XRK barrel Merc forgrip and stippled. Basically negligible recoil for my long range gun and my ground loot one is good for close range fights or if I don’t take the time to reload and an enemy is hurt badly

When I first got this game, I saw practically no one using the FAL. I was the odd person in HC shredding through people pre-patch. Now I've seen almost an entire team using the FAL. It's pretty common. People even use it as a sniper, which I guess it fulfills that for me as well. I used to use a red dot, but I found on maps like Piccadilly, I needed better vision, so now I use a hybrid acog/red dot and can see very well. For some reason I just found the M4 really weak, even in HC, though pretty much everyone used it in HC as well as core. Nowadays, HC has really good gun variety. I guess people realized any gun is viable in HC or the other guns are actually just as good in the right hands.

The buff the FAL needs is to make the max upper torso damage 55 so that an upper and lower shot will still 2-shot kill, like the Oden, to make it more consistent. As it is now I feel like the Oden outguns it as a high damage, low rof weapon for high skill aggressive play, while the EBR is more consistent as a 2-shot marksman weapon. Though I could still see the argument the FAL fills a small niche between the two this way.

I enjoyed this gun when I started it recently. But by then end of the camos I wasn't sure if it was a bad rifle or bad Marksman.

So far my favorite setup for this gun is, the ultra light barrel, VLK optic, No stock, MERC fire grip, and stippled tape. I personally feel recoil isn’t such a big deal since you can just space your shots for med/long range to maintain accuracy. At close range you can spray just fine and hit your target. :D

I wish you would show the original ADS times on screen when you talk about how each of the attachments impacts ADS, I tend to forget what the original time was when we finally get to the barrels

Personally I feel it needs to have just pure vertical recoil. I tend to go for Max accuracy with my guns and even with plenty of accuracy attachments it kicks a bit too much for farther away targets who even move a little bit. Compound that with hit detection issues it makes it a pain.

Bro. Run the compensator, para barrel, vlk, 24rnd mag, merc grip. It sounds dumb but holy cow. It no joke can do nearly anything. Ads is, good range, and ok recoil. You can melt people with this combo. The FAL is under rated AF imo.

Blazed 3 round burst is really good but it uses your perk slot and sleight of hand is really good for the fal just because of how much you need to reload so I personally go sleight of hand and regular semi auto cause I have a pretty gold trigger finger but I’ve tried the burst and it’s also good but definitely harder to run and gun

I think the question becomes "FAL or ODEN?" The FAL offers better handling characteristics, while the only clear advantage of the ODEN is the hipfire spread, which isn't tremendously relevant. In terms of comparing the TTK however, this is a bit murky. The FAL technically offers a faster TTK, but to accomplish this you do need a fast trigger finger. I think many people over-estimate just how fast they can actually click while also trying to accurately aim and I suspect that while anyone can click at 500 RPM or faster if they are just mashing left mouse, in a real game situation I can't help but feel that most players are managing less than 400 RPM while aiming. If this is the case, then the Oden's full auto TTK is actually faster.

It’s a high risk high reward weapon which combined with the fact it’s semi auto makes it a gun I’m not crazy about. The issue is that if it gets a buff those who really know how t use it can take advantage and it might be too strong. It’s a tough gun to balance but I Feel they should buff the recoil for sure. I think it’s the worst AR in the game but I only have an average trigger finger.

I think if they added a perk which made it full auto, but made recoil harder to control it would be good.

What about the burst perk? Did you try it at all? It makes the FAL the only weapon in the game that can potentially kill in one burst at any range. I ranked up the FAL just to give burst a try, and it was totally worth it. You won't always land enough shots on the first burst to kill a player on the other side of a large map. However, the FAL will consistently one burst at much longer ranges than than Famas (FR 5.56) and will melt people at medium to long range with one trigger pull, especially if you include recoil mitigating barrel/attachments.

This gun excels a lot with a few key attachments. I'm currently working on getting gold on this gun and after the no attachments skins, I can finally use this gun to it's full potential. The default iron sight is quite bad imo, so you definitely need a scope unless you're playing an aggressive playstyle and can get away with it.

Semi autos always get overlooked in COD. Everybody flocks to the easy guns, and I get it, but come on people, don't be scared, branch out a little. Me, I've always liked the semi's, they're quite good in the hands a skilled operator.
