@@cliodhnamalone7493 Zoe Alexander auditioned for X Factor and the producers of the show set her up. basically push her to do a Pink song, ie that's the only way you get to the live audition, only to be humiliated by the judges for being a Pink copycat. They also switched off the stage monitors so she can't really hear the music when she started singing. They did it to make her breakdown on stage for TV ratings. it is so heartbreaking to hear her talk about it. go check your YT account. I know it's been a few years but I only literally watched it yesterday and remembered her audition.

It seems to be that the key to success on being on The X Factor is auditioning solo, getting eliminated and having the judges bring you back to put you in a group.

Makes sense in hindsight. If you're already clicking solo, you get signed directly by a label (then) or blow up on social media (now) and don't go on X Factor in the first place. Meanwhile a created group is something new. Doesn't usually work, but once in a while you catch lightning in a bottle.

When she formed little mix, she knew they had something special, where for Simon it was just “money” and then making out he was the one that formed them. What i loved about the formation of the group is how well-balanced it is vocally and how diverse it is. They sound incredible but I never ever thought they could stick for a decade together. These girls are already professional making sure they could work together and have a good relationship (well except now). But the fact that they lasted a long time and leave a legacy is insane

The best thing about LM’s members is that they proved that they could work well in groups. They were initially invited back to form Orion and Faux Paus after failing as soloists. They all agreed. Not forced like 1D and 5H when they first formed.

I think it's because this reveals the conversation we saw on the actual show was faked, it happened after they already made the decision. It was even more extreme with 1D, Simon complained about getting the groups on the show while if you watch the real clip he was excited about them and wanted their category from day 1.
