This looks like the Star Trek: Armada (Real-time strategy) game series. They definitely did get the visuals and sound effects from Star Trek: Armada I & II.

The Nova class was actually the original design for the Defiant class, but they shelved that design for the different look they ended up going with. They later used the Nova class design for the USS Equinox in Star Trek Voyager. The Nova class can be fitted with aft torpedoes and set up to be an effective fighter. The Equinox wasn't equipped with those abilities though as it was only used for scientific missions when it was taken by the Caretaker.

I dont know if anyone said it, but I am sure someone did - the fighters from the Playstation game were called Valkyries, and if they would put those in a mod I bet the subscription t it would double. Venture is a scout ship, more like a runabout. Peregrine is supposed to be the "fighter", but is supposed to be more like a corvette since it has a crew of 3-5.

Interesting. I like Sins of a Solar Empire, and ive been playing a couple of the mods for it that Shack has highlighted, but I dismissed Homeworld because it didn't seem all that exciting as far as actual space combat. However I might give it a look see based off this.

shack some advice for miners if there is 2 asteroids use 4 and just have it be the number of asteroids times 2 as it is the most effective way that I have found

reinstalled Homeworld Remastered and downloaded this... there seems to be a bug where the ore harvesters are crashing into asteroids and dying very frequently, really sucks having to micromanage resources because of that... once fixed this will be an awesome mod though

The Saucer separation was too expensive to do every time there was a battle so they only did it a few times, Personally I'm glad they only did it a few times as I thought it was a stupid gimmick except when used in Generations to save everyone when the stardrive was about to explode

I'm new to this - I have played Homeworld once, years ago, but there was no "Beginner" mode so I pretty much got wiped out every time. I did eventually get better with it - but never did reach the end of the story. As a Star Trek fan - this looks great! But I suspect this mod also assumes everyone who plays is an Expert. I may try it anyway - where do you get it? (BTW: I would prefer the TOS and TMP eras.)

There's always a readme file in the mods folder. Read it. Follow directions. KZbin/google it if there is a problem once you know you did everything correctly. Or ya know just download the exe version of the mod on moddb
