Black Manta is a DLC in Injustice 2 (downloadable content). I recommend you getting Injustice 2 Legendary Edition who has all the extra characters on disc (or digitally if you buy the digital version). Some time passed so even the ultimate edition is cheaper now. Might as well get the fuII package of the game.

10:21 “So let’s dive into this guy.” Not sure if that’s a what he said or she said joke, but I like its clever ambiguity to go either way; Mr.X getting with the times. I loved the bulk and composition of the Prime 1 Black Manta Aquaman (Film) that was shown, and I became disappointed when it became “not available.” Don’t know what happened to it or if it will still be released in the future. I also don’t know much about the character, but I still loved the beauty of that piece and would have added it to my collection just for its dark presence. This one is nice, but the other one looked darker and more intimidating, in my opinion. But I guess I’ll never know, to be honest with you.

Also I feel that if a single alteration of black manta punching upwards rather than elbow flexed would have made the whole piece more powerful as he punching out of the water and anatomically making more sense according to his noticeable lumbar lateral flexion. It would make the statue quite tall though which is probably why the flexed elbow is present. Arms extended punching are far more powerful-looking compared to the preparatory phase of elbows bent and even looks slightly defensive with elbows flexed rather than offensive and attacking.

Love this piece. Fantastic representation of the comic and I love that base. Museum style is to my liking and the simplicity, yet, dynamic feel here is great. Not a fan of fully translucent resin but this semi translucent resin really gives it depth and a realistic look. Great pickup brother

Since unlockable things were a fun thing to do in the past.. I still want to mention that in the standard edition of the Injustice 2 game.. you can UNLOCK (no need to pay for it with money) BRAINIAC if you finish the story mode. (at the end of the story he will be unlocked).

Black Manta is one of my favorite DC villain's. I have the small Iron Studio one along with the Aqua Man statue. Only thing I'm not sure about is he looks silver to me in this and he should really be black in my opinion like my Iron Studio one is. Other wise its great looking.

I think that piece turned out amazing. Because he's huge for a 1/4 scale and you look at all the details and effects on it, I'd have given the value a 5 out of 5 too. Statues of that caliber go for a lot more these days.

Black Manta in Injustice 2 is DLC. You have to buy the DLC characters or get the Legendary Edition of the game to get all the characters. Awesome statue.

That is a great looking Black Manta figure. I am not bothered by how he is posed as much as I am about whether he is underwater or not. It wouldn't make sense that the sea creatures are popping out of the ocean. So it would only be obvious that he is underwater and swimming with the fishes. This is a dynamical piece. There is a Aquaman on seahorse coming out soon that would look great vs this Black Manta. For $800 it is not a bad catch. This is definitely a keeper.

I know it isn't based off the comic books or animated series etc. The only thing you'd need to do really is paint him black and maybe highlight some of the seams or lines. It's a top notch sculpt. Unfortunetly he is completely gray which isn't representive of a "BLACK Manta".

Black Manta looks good. While i like the shark on the based, i think having an octopus and a ray also on the base amounts to overkill - too much wildlife in one place. During assembly, i liked the choice of music.. i am still thinking on Black Manta. Guess what!? Prime 1 have 25% off at the moment, meaning the statue is available for $599.00 ^_^
