Be careful using this. It breaks out your hair!!!! I used it for 2 years and had a lot of hair fall out, and didnt know why. I stopped using it for a month and a half and notice a huge difference. Went back to using it (because I love it so much), hair started to break again. I finally threw it out (with tears in my eyes 😂)

Love this product! But I found that I have to limit how much I use it b/c I found my hair was dry after using it a few weeks in a row for twist outs (even when applying a moisturizer underneath). I realized it has protein in it, so that might be why. I stopped using it for about a month and my hair feels back to normal again! I started using a protein free gel in the mean time. (I have 4b/c low porosity hair)

Looking good Jess. I just started using The Doux and I love the semi hard/soft hold it gives. I'm also type 4 hair and this actually defines my curls/coils very well and it's not crunchy. It gives a medium hold but also gives the bounce/movement.

I use the cantu curling mousse, works just as well. I think generally most good mousses with a moisturising element to them would work. I have used 3 diff types of mousse in the past and they all worked.
