I have also received fish deliveries from Jack Wattley Discus and never had an issue. They have a great shipping program that really makes working with them easy and with confidence. Thanks for the great video and love the fish.

"IMPORTANT" This is a Quarantine Tank. These fish will be rotated out in a few weeks to a 100 gallon fully scaped tank. I also added 1- Teaspoon of Aquarium Salt per 40 gallons and did a 50% water change before adding these Discus to the tank. The salt will help with any Gills that may have been burned in transit from Ammonia build up as well as help any scratches or small cuts they may have developed. Another reason I try to never use nets on larger expensive fish.

I really enjoyed this one. I like the way you handle the fish without a net. Great idea and really does keep the Discus from getting scratched up or fins torn. Nice looking fish. I hope you will do a follow up video?

I like this tank & lid, what manufacturer or brand? Thanks for the plug on where you get your fish. I researched and laughed at a couple negative reviews already knowing they were clueless that a massive hatchery isn't like walking into a store. I think it's Aquarium Co - Op (KZbin) that has a nice long video inside the hatchery talking with him and I found it educational, enjoyable and his character enjoyable.

I will most definitely be using your help line after I’m finished with the setup of my tank. It’s been delayed partly due to trouble finding just the right hard scape and finalizing my choice on substrate. I was considering hiring a local business to come in and advise me but I trust you and have learned much from your videos. Question from this video: how many turkey basters did you add here and what was the timing before you decided they were acclimated? Thank you
@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto Жыл бұрын
I use about five per fish and then just coat my hands with Seachem stress guard and pick them up by hand and set them in the tank. Not nets

Great video, I want to ask you in case of discus shipment for many days, when we open bag the ph will increase and ammonia will harm discus, so I seen many discus keeper move it directly to tank without acclimation. Pkease advise

@@ahmadsaidi8996 I move many of my Discus to the Quarantine tank without acclimating. Some of my friends think it is the best way. I have never had any issues doing it.

What kind of filter are you using on this tank?
@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto Жыл бұрын
This is an All-In-One system with built in Filtration. I have added 2-Oase 300 external canisters as well. More than required by far, but how I like to filter all my tanks. I do not use Carbon.
