New fish! New little fish! New cute little fish! (That's me jumping up and down and yelling in my brain from excitement, but making sure not to scare them.) They're already coloring up. This tank's going to be amazing, especially watching them grow and mature. Yipee!

I've never actually seen the Sumbu dwarfs except in photos - very excited to see them. Excellent choices all the way around. This is going to be a fun tank to watch grow up.

Absolutely true that it is important to try and get fish quickly through the post. People forget that damage from ammonia can leave permanent damage to a fish's gills.

I've been waiting for this day forever ! Altolamprologus sp. Shell sumbu ! I love these fish ! I have a f1 pair that refuse to breed for me again. Really nice choice of fish ! Congratulations !

The tank layout looks great. Really like the rock work and the shells are very cool. This is a tank that I’m very interested in because I’m planning my own Tanganyika tank. My mom and I have altolamprologus calvus "black ink" and they are stunning. Similar to compressiceps, but bigger. We also have neolamprologus leleupi, cyprichromis leptisoma "bluefin", and synindontis lucipinnis. It's a totally fun tank and we can't wait to upgrade! I'm glad to see you showing people how awesome Tanganyika fish are!

Very nice fauna selection, I’d love to emulate it. Would a 55 still be decent room for a group of paracyps? I’ve been following your acclimation method for a long while now - much better success than any of my drip acclimate tries early on. Thanks.

I think so for paracyps, not sure if I would do the cyps. A group of the cyps I got will be moving out to hte other 75g shellie tank to fill out that grouping.

Congratulations! Thanks for showing how it's done. I should be getting my first shipped fish this week (neon green rasbora). They recommend drip acclamation for these. I agree with your reasoning. Do you think the drain and drop with the neon rasboras is best?

I remember the time you got your first shipment of sardine cichlids and how they just disappeared into the rockwork, it was so disappointing to see them acting abnormally. I think that you had a bad supplier or something. However this shipment rocks! Nice perky fish, tight little schools and eating in front of you! This will be an awesome tank, I'm so glad you set this up :) Next tank ... Asian blackwater? Or even a cryptocorne tank with sparkling gourami, rasboras and some loaches?

What plants if any do you plan to add? Are you going to add a few of your young Shell Dwellers you already have bred to this tank as well as the two adult Sardine Cichlids in your current Shell Dweller tank into this tank eventually?

Smaller fish in a big tank is better they have more room to swim and be happy imo.. I have a 120g with shellies and they love it they even go all the way to the top to eat they are very happy
