I hate to disappoint people but the “zero point energy” theory isn’t going to ever become anything we can use for electric power. Here’s why. When these people talk about “zero point energy” they are referring to the elemental energy field that underpins all matter. Yes, if you “tap into it” it does release massive amounts of energy. However, it also can collapse the matter in that area if to much is withdrawn. This isn’t like contaminating an area from nuclear power where eventually the area will cover. We’re talking about opening the universe to the void that exists between universes. We can’t predict what would happen. The entire universe might collapse in on itself or be sucked into the void. Using zero point is a fanciful idea but not a practical one. A practical idea to generate electric power is to use the the planet itself! We’re sitting over a ginormous toroidal electric generator that generates billions of watts of electrical power daily…… just set out a collection device and collect it people!
