a few clarifying point it is so piss easy for a bot hoster to just make more accounts, so unless this new program they rolled out accounts for those new bots we can't let up with the protest also according to Zesty Jesus, Richter Overtime, and a few others, a contact at valve has given them reason to believe that this "anti-Bot program" has been in development for two years, and is now being rolled out valve has been doing the treadmill work but only lost all the fat when it mattered

Remember people TF2 is a free to play game, so it is very easy for bot hosters to just do this again. So unless Valve is actively doing something to ban the current and new bots that will come this won't mean anything. But if Valve actually does keep banning bots then it can do something. I'm personally still skeptical on Valve doing something in the long run but I am surprised they actually did something in the short term. So hopefully they keep it up and TF2 becomes a playable game again for people that want to play on casual mode.

What has to be taken in consideration, is that Valve already did a ban wave two years or so ago. Bots came back several months later and multiplied. Unless Valve wouldn't stop checking the bots and taking them down as soon as possible, there is no certainty the bots will cease to exist or at least stop being a giant problem and tat their hosters will ever stop.

Richter Overtime said on their Twitter, that Valve has been doing work for the last 2 years to fix botting problem in TF2 and alongside in other Source titles. So even if they used some sort of implementation fo this anti-bot system in VAC, it might still be not final and prone to failing. We still have to see what they will say on the matter at what will be their next actions. But considering how long it took them to get to this point with only one main dev and several contractors, I think it's fair to give them some slack next time, I guess...

honestly if i were Valve, i would sue EVERY bot hosting bastard and take all the winning money and name that the TF2 budget. throw a tiny bit of it to finish up that called Lunar update from 2019 they were working on and then get more people on it and have the MAJOR updates come back like the 2010s. TF2 has been around for this long and with the right amount of money and some hyped up ads they would generate even MORE money and raise the player count exponentially. i didn't go to business school but i know a decent bit. THAT is the strategy they should be going with. it makes up the damages to the reputation and utilizes it to repair not ONLY the reputation but increase profit
