Idk how accurate this is but from what I heard tech nine was over looked by black rap fans (maybe never heard him or don't like him for some reason). I'm from Hawaii with a bunch of white, Asian, Polynesian mixed friends and we used to love tech nine. Still do. Also some reason Bay Area rap was popular in Hawaii. Mac dre and andre nickatina. It’s probably the best mix of old school with a new vibe that I’ve heard. He really shows respect to the old school hip hop dancing and DJ’s with his BANGING fast raps.
